Baby Jam Halloween Party

We hosted Baby Jam on Wednesday and it was lots of fun.  We dressed all the kids up in their Halloween costumes.  All the kids looked so cute!   What a fun afternoon.  Thanks Mimi and Pop-Pop for Sage's cute costume.  Bev took all these great pictures - thanks for always getting great shots of the kids!

Love this one of Sage and Marshall!  They look so cute together!

Sage's Baptism

Sage's baptism was on Sunday and it was perfect!   She was an angel during the church service and didn't cry when the pastor baptized her!  It was wonderful to have family here for her baptism.  What a special day!

Reese, Sage and I - finally a good family picture.

A family picture, thanks for being here!

The godparents, Shelley and Russ.  Thank you two for being Sage's godparents.

 Mimi and Pop-Pop with Sage.

Nana and Papa with Sage.

Polka dot party for Sage and Brady!

We had Sage and Brady's birthday party this weekend and it was so much fun!  I had a great time planning the party with Shelley.  Everything turned out like we thought it would.  There are a ton of pictures from the party and I couldn't pick only a few.  So here are my favorites.

Mommy and Daddy with the Birthday Girl!

The cupcake tower, thanks Mom for making the cupcakes!

The birthday boy and girl and the happy Mama's!

The birthday banner our Mom made - we loved it!  The bunnies on the mantel were made by my friend Sarah - she sells them on her Etsy site:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/shopaspiretobe

Sage was loving being held by Aunt Shelley!  Brady on the other hand didn't love to be held by anyone but his Mama.

Faith, Sloan and Finn hanging out at the party

The only picture of the three of us that day.  Sage was loving her new cell phone from Nana & Papa!

Our beautiful girl, she looked so cute in her tutu!
I see many tutu's in her future:)

What a cute family picture!

Crawling away in her cute tutu!

Walking with Pop-Pop

On Friday morning we were hanging out with Reese's parents.  Sage was having a ton of fun with her Pop-Pop - she even walked with him for a little bit!  Sage hadn't really shown any interest in walking, even when you hold onto her hands and try to walk her across the floor.  But she loved walking with Pop-Pop.  I didn't get a great picture but this gives you the idea!

Way to long for a post!

I didn't realize I hadn't blogged in a week.  It was a busy week.  Reese got sick on Sunday and was down for the count until Monday late afternoon.  I got sick Wednesday morning and was useless until Thursday morning.  Thank you to my Mom who helped us get ready for Sage and Brady's birthday party.  She made the cupcakes and cookies for the party, made their outfits, and helped with the cupcake tower.  Pictures to come.  It was fun planning the party with Shelley!  And since I love to post with a picture here is one from last week.  Sage looked so cute in her sweater I had to take a few pics.  This was the best one - she was all over the place trying to get her books!

Sage is Feeling Better...

Sage is starting to feel better, she drank lots of Pedialyte yesterday and two bottles.  We decided to stay home from church today and relax.  We cleaned the house and I went grocery shopping and raked leaves - I guess I wouldn't call that relaxing!  Reese isn't feeling very well and I am hoping he pulls through this stomach bug quickly.  He was supposed to travel this week, but it looks like he will be home. Please say some prayers that we are all healthy by Thursday.  Our family is going to be here for the weekend and we want to be able to enjoy seeing everybody.

Reese and Sage did get to enjoy the Bears game today.  Even though the Bears lost it was still a good afternoon.

Stomach Bug

Sage slept in this morning until 7:30!  We thought the day was off to a great start, then Sage wouldn't drink her bottle.  After a little while she drank half her bottle and then proceeded to throw it up.  By the fourth time she had thrown up I called the doctor.  They fit her in for an appointment and off we went.  She has a stomach bug which we hope will clear up soon.  She is on clear liquids until she can go 12 hours without throwing up.  As of 1:30pm today she has only kept down a few sips of water.  It looks like it is going to be a long weekend in our house.  As you can see from the picture below she is in pretty good spirits even though she isn't feeling good.  We are getting lots of extra cuddles - which we love!

Thanks Nana for my cute pajamas!   Sage is on her fifth outfit of the day, Mommy is on her third, and Daddy is on his second.  I see lots of laundry in my future.

Card Game

Reese used to play this card game with Sloan.  He puts the card on his forehead and then the kids try to get it off.  Last night was the first time Reese played this game with Sage and she loved it!  I think Reese loved it too!

Rocking Chair

The last few days Sage has really been enjoying her rocking chair.  It is my rocking chair from when I was little and I love that Sage now gets to use it.  She really has fun rocking away!

Weekend away & A Birthday!

The first weekend of October I went to Charlotte, NC for a wedding.  My friend Stephanie got married and it was a beautiful wedding.  It was my first time away from Sage for more than a few hours.  I am happy to report that Sage and I both survived.  So did Reese!  It was really nice to get away, but I was really ready to come home.  It is amazing how much you can miss your little ones.  I couldn't wait to get home and hug and kiss all over Sage - Reese too!  It was fun meeting all of Steph's Charlotte friends and to catch up with some friends from home.  Some of whom I hadn't seen in eight years!  Here are some pics from the weekend.  After the weekend it was good to get HOME!!

The venue was "Roof with a View" the name says it all.  Nikki, Becky, Shelley and I all left the kids and husbands at home for the weekend.   What a fun weekend!

Shelley and I having some fun.  I got to see Shelley two weekends in a row!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!  Hope you have a great day sis!

New Car Seat II

Sage had her first ride in the new car seat yesterday and she seemed to enjoy it.  Lots more room in the new seat!  She was dressed in Chicago Bears gear for Daddy and hoping for a win!  Hopefully next week the Bears will be on T.V. and Daddy can enjoy the game instead of just the highlights on ESPN.

Oh no, Mom, not a new seat!

She was growling at me from her new seat, I took it as a sign of thanks for her new seat!

Party Update

Here is a group shot from the party yesterday!  Right after these group shots were taken the balloons all started popping and none of the babies cried!

Happy Sunday!

We just got back from church and Sage is taking a nap.  We joined the church today and I am excited to have a new church family.  It is going to be a great church for our family, there are so many wonderful people and lots of opportunities for us to get involved.

This is another picture from Apple Fest - I borrowed this picture from Bev's blog.  Thanks Bev!  I don't get many pictures of Sage and I together and I love this one!

Playgroup Birthday Party!

We had a birthday party today for all the babies in our playgroup.  We were at a local park, and the weather cooperated it was a beautiful morning.  The babies all had fun swinging and walking/crawling all over the place.  The babies all got cupcakes for dessert and what fun it was to watch them all dig in!  It was a preview for us for Sage and her birthday cake.  Let's just say she wasn't shy about digging in!   I love being a part of this group!

All the babies ready to dig into their cupcakes!  Thanks Bev for letting us use your booster seat - we forgot Sage's.

Sage was one of the first babies to dig in - big surprise!  She was loving the frosting.  I didn't get any pictures after she was covered in frosting.  I was to busy trying to make sure she didn't end up with frosting all over her hair.  Don't worry I will let her get covered at her birthday party!

Sage and Daddy hanging out!  If you can believe it, this is after the cupcake and she isn't covered in frosting - it took alot of wipes to get her clean:)

Apple Fest

We went to Apple Fest today, it was downtown and there was lots of good apple food to enjoy!  We all had the apple cobbler with ice cream - all the kids enjoyed it!  The event raises money for the Salvation Army.  We had a great time!  We went with Bev and Case & Sarah and Liam, two friends from my Mom's group.  It is a beautiful day out with the sun shining and the temps in the high 70's!  What a great way to spend the afternoon!

Sarah And Liam enjoying the day.

Case, Sage and Liam having fun together, Liam's balloon had just flown away.

Sage was really having fun with her balloon, she kept wanting to bite it.  Luckily the balloon didn't pop!

New Car Seat

It is time to put Sage in her new car seat.  I got it out of the box this morning and Sage was very interested in it.  I figured we should try it out!  So here she is enjoying her new seat.  She will still be facing backwards in the car until she is at least a year.  We are going to keep her facing backward as long as we can since it is safer for her to face backward.  It is on the agenda this weekend to get the new seat installed in the car.  I can't believe she will no longer be using her infant seat.  She is getting so big!

Favorites...

This picture was from the night of our 3rd anniversary.  We were out to dinner and Sage was having a good time.  We chose a restaurant that is pretty noisy and Sage definitely contributed to that noise.  I love this picture of Reese!  If you notice the two marks on his nose - those are from Sage.  She can really get you by pinching or just grabbing on.  I hope the pinching doesn't go on to much longer!
