Bike Ride

The week before school started I planned some fun activities.  Wanted to end summer with some fun!  One of those activities was taking a walk/bike at the Town Hall Park.  I had Quinn in the stroller and we brought Sage's bike. 

 

Sage wasn't quite sure at first.  The path goes around the lake and has some hills.  Here she is at the start.  

 Quinn was loving it all!

Here she is towards the end of the ride!  She was loving it.  We went around the lake twice and she wanted to go around a third time.  There is a pretty big hill and I had to run with the stroller to keep up with her.  It is a decent size hill and I barely caught up with her.  She had some speed by the time I did catch up with her and she screamed the entire way down the hill.  Then at the bottom she started laughing.  I loved it!   Something that was so scary to her in the beginning that was fun at the end! 

Under

One night Reese was with Quinn in the family room and he wanted me to come over and help him.  He needed a little help to get Quinn out from under the exersaucer - she had climbed in herself.  Being the good Mom that I am - I grabbed my phone instead to get a few pictures first.  She was so proud of herself sitting underneath it!

Singing!

On our last night at the ranch Sage wanted to sing with Mimi.  She loves to sing Hark! the Herald Angels Sing and she knows the words better than I do!  She was so excited to sing with Mimi.  I think Mimi was excited too!

Outside!

We were very lucky when we were in Texas.  We only had two really hot days, the rest of the time it was just hot but enjoyable!   We spent lots of time outside having fun!  There was lots of time spent on the tractor and the gator, time spent getting ready to go fishing and finally getting to go fishing!

 

Puzzle time

My parents visited us for a few days before we left for the ranch.  We had a good time relaxing and visiting!  Sage was so very excited about the nightgown Nana and Papa brought her.  First - Sage has been asking for a nightgown for months, Second - it was a Frozen nightgown.  What could be better - she was thrilled.  I had to wash it immediately and she had to bring it with us to Texas.  Here she is relaxing in her new nightgown with Mimi and helping with a puzzle. 

Sparkly Sunglasses

We had a nice trip to Texas - it was a trip to celebrate Mimi and Pop-Pop's 50th anniversary!  What an amazing accomplishment - 50 years!  It was a low-key trip with lots of time at the ranch.  Mimi and I did get away one afternoon for some shopping and lunch with Sloan and Sage.  We went to Charming Charlie's and Mimi gave each of the girls $10 to spend.  It was so fun to watch them spend their money!  I found the clearance section for the girls and showed them how much further their money could go!  It was a very fun afternoon.  Thanks Mimi!  While on the way to shopping the girls were trying on Mimi's sunglasses.  They are all very sparkly and the girls loved them!

7 Months

This 7 month post is way behind but I had to get it up before the 8 month post that is also behind!  At least I am consistent.  At 7 months Quinn was sitting up unassisted - she was still a little wobbly.  We got out the leapfrog table and she loved it.  Anything that is not a toy is her favorite - boxes, bags, anything!  She continues to be such a happy baby!  She still loves all food - green beans were not her favorite as baby food but if you give her a whole green bean she likes it!  She loves her sister so much and just loves to interact with her.  They just each light up when the other comes in the room. Love seeing this one grow and change each day! 

Sage was helping me get these pictures taken and was getting Quinn to giggle!   The last picture I took of Quinn alone she toppled over right onto the arm of the chair.  She was not happy.  We did still manage to get a few pictures of the two of them together. 

Library Time

We haven't been to the library much this summer.  Been busy!  But we went before our trip to Texas and met up with Tracey, Andrew and Lucas.  The kids got to participate in a music class and then play in the library.  The library recently renovated the children's area and it looks really nice!   One of the changes are these circles in the wall as you enter the kids area.  Sage had to crawl right through!

Taco Date Night

Before we went to Texas we had a very fun date night.  We tried a restaurant in downtown they are know for their: Tacos and Tequila!   What could go wrong!   Well the tacos and the margaritas were both really good.  We also got the queso - yummy!  A new favorite place!

Fabulous drinks after dinner at a bar right across the street from the restaurant.  They were so good I had to take a picture.  I have since recreated this drink at home with lots of success!  Prosecco and Limencello - my new favorite drink!  We have been talking about when we can go out again and go to the restaurant and bar again - so good and so much fun!

Balance Beam

We went to the park a few weeks ago to have a picnic with Sharon.  It was a fun lunch!   Sage went and played on the playground after we ate.  She was so excited to walk on this balance beam  by herself.  I had to film it for her.  She did so well - don't mind me cheering her on in the video.  She was loving it!

Crawling!

We have a crawler on our hands!   Quinn started off with the army crawl but she is almost at a full out crawl now.  She is getting so big so fast!

 

Happy Birthday, Papa!

Today is my Dad's birthday!   Happy Birthday, Papa!   We hope you have a wonderful day.  Wish we were there to celebrate with you.

Climbing

We met Tracey, Andrew and Lucas at the park on a beautiful sunny morning!   The kids had so much fun playing and we capped off the playtime with lunch out! 

Sage and Andrew had lots of fun climbing this.  Last year Sage wouldn't even attempt it but this time she was climbing all over it with Andrew. 

Teething biscuit

We were in Texas for a week and I didn't have a chance to blog - too busy!   The next few posts are from a few weeks ago. 

Quinn is having a hard time with this second tooth.  It seems like it is taking forever for it to come in.  She has really been enjoying these teething biscuits.  She is a total mess when she is done but she is happy girl while eating it!

The zoo!

This girl was a happy camper on our trip to the zoo.  It was busy, but it was still a good day.  I love having a membership to the zoo.  We can go for a few hours of fun and then come back another day!

Sisters!

Sage loves to hold Quinn and I had my phone right there.  So I was able to snap a picture of these happy girls.  I am so lucky that I get to spend each day with these two.  I need to remember that on days when I want to pull my hair out!  They are both getting so big!

Shopping cart!

Look who is getting so big she can now sit in the shopping cart!  She was a little weeble wobble but we made it through!   She had so much fun looking around.

Reese & Sage Hike

Sage loves her Daddy time - just her and Daddy!  A few weeks ago they went for a hike after church.  I packed them a lunch and sent them on their way.  Quinn was down for a nap and I enjoyed two hours of silence!  Reese took some great pictures on their hike - enjoy!

Selfie!

Another beautiful day a few weeks ago - we had to enjoy it with lunch outside!  It was a perfect summer day.  I am loving the sunshine and lower than normal summer temps - which for us have been in the high 70's and low 80's!   I'll take it!

County Fair!

We went to the county fair a few weekends ago and it was a fun family day!  It was the last day of the fair and we went during the day.  The rides weren't open yet but we didn't think Sage would go on many of the rides.  We got to see all the animals!  Sage's first comment in each barn was how bad it smelled - she is definitely my girl!   We played on some tractors, and had some fair food!

 Quinn took a big nap while we were there.   I love how good Reese looks - he has been working out and it really shows!  All of his hard work is paying off.
