Frozen Yogurt

We went and had frozen yogurt over the weekend.  Sage loved picking out all her toppings - her favorites were the mini M&M's.   I see lots of trips for frozen yogurt in our near future!

Pigtails for school!

Last Thursday morning we had a few extra minutes before we had to leave for school and Sage looked so cute I had to snap a few pictures.  She has been letting us do more to her hair than just ponytails and it has been fun!  She was loving her pigtails that morning.

Potty Training Update

I didn't think I was going to have to do another potty training update until this past weekend. So this may be TMI for some - if so stop reading now.  Sage wasn't really acting like herself last weekend.  She was really cranky and clingy.  Finally on Sunday night it clicked -she was constipated she hadn't gone in a few days and that was why she was cranky.  Sunday night she was up every 15 - 30 minutes.  I pulled her in bed with me to try to calm her down and Reese went into the guest room.  It was a very long night and we got about 5 hours of sleep.  Monday started with the accidents.  It was a LONG day and so was Tuesday, and Wednesday.   Wednesday she finally starting going on the potty again.  She had more accidents in those days than all of potty training so far.  I decided to get out a sticker chart and try the reward system.  I went out Wednesday night and bought a bunch of stuff.  She is doing well with the stickers and rewards and I hope she keeps it up.

Sign for Daddy!

When Reese got home last Friday this sign was hanging on the door for him!

I wrote out each letter on a separate sheet of paper and then Sage would write the letter on the sign.  I had to write a few of the letters for her but she wrote the rest.  It is so fun to see her learn her letters and then start writing them. 

Dinner with Friends!

Last week Rebecca and Lydia invited Sage and I over for dinner.  Reese was gone to Mexico on a business trip and Rebecca's husband Darren had to work late.  It was a perfect time to get together.  We thought it would be a nice relaxing night the girls could play and we could chat.  Were we wrong - it must have been a full moon that night.  The girls were out of control.  They took turns being crabby - when one had a toy the other one wanted it.  At dinner they were both very clingy and didn't want to eat and it was pizza - who doesn't like pizza?  They finally both ate and we went downstairs to play and watch a movie.  By this time the girls were finally having fun and they wanted to play all night long!

Elephant

Lately for every nap Sage has to put her pajamas on for it.  She keeps telling me she wants to be comfy!  I guess whatever it takes for her to take a good nap.   She has been really attached to this elephant the last week.  She is just too cute!!

New Helmet

We got Sage a bike helmet for Christmas and she was so excited to use it.  We got it out last week when she was riding her bike and now she won't get on her bike without it.  Starting early on bike safety! 

Spring Hike

It has been so nice here - Spring is finally here!  We went for a hike last weekend and had lots of fun.  Sage wasn't sure she wanted to go but she loved it!  We hiked through the woods and then had a mini picnic back at the car. 

More Q-Tip Painting

We were doing some activities last week and Sage saw this painting book that you use Q-tips to paint with.  She wanted to stop our activities immediately to do the painting.  Well we ended up finishing the activities and then she got to paint.  Here she is very into her painting project!

Jeans!

Last week Sage asked to wear jeans - two days in a row!   This was definitely a change - I don't think she has worn a pair of jeans in over a year.  I had to snap a few pictures of her wearing her jeans!  She also has been loving her new ponytail holder that she got from Mimi and Pop-Pop for Easter.  Such a stylish girl!

Spring is almost here!

When Nana was here for Easter we took a walk down to the playground.  It was so nice to be outside with the sun shining!   We are so ready for Spring!  Sage had lots of extra fun because Daddy was with us too!   It was nice having Reese home on a Friday - I didn't even know he had Friday off until Thursday evening.  A nice surprise for all of us!

Another Easter Present

Mimi and Pop-Pop sent Sage an Easter present filled with all sorts of goodies!  In the package these were some clothes, games, candy and her favorite thing was a new rubber ducky!   She named the duck Marvin and had to take him into the tub with her the night she opened the present.   She loves that little duck!   Thanks Mimi and Pop-Pop!

Giant Lollipop

This is the giant lollipop that grew from the jellybeans we planted.  Sage saw it from the window on Easter morning and Reese went out and picked it for her.  She was having to much fun inside she didn't want to go outside.  On Monday morning last week she asked if she could have her lollipop.  She had just eaten a good breakfast so I said sure!   As she was carrying the lollipop over to the table - tragedy struck - she dropped the lollipop and it broke right in half.  She was not a happy girl.  But as you can see from the pictures she still managed to enjoy it!

Planting Seeds

The Easter Bunny brought Sage a little pot with some daisy seeds to plant in it.  She had to do that right away on Easter morning.  We have been watering it each day in hopes that some daisies will soon appear.  Will keep you posted!

Easter Morning

When Sage got up on Easter morning she was so excited because she saw the eggs the Easter Bunny has left for her in her room.  She was pretty content to play with those three eggs for awhile.  It helped that the eggs were filled with M&M's, starting the day off right with chocolate!  She came into our room and watched a show and Reese and I both dozed off again.  I wasn't feeling well and needed just a little bit more sleep.  About 9am Nana came in and we all went down to see what the Easter Bunny had left behind.  Sage was all over the house looking for her eggs.  I never got a good picture of her getting the eggs - just the back of her head - that girl was quick!   We loved watching her have so much fun with the egg hunt.  Her Easter basket was a huge hit as well!

Easter Eggs!

When Nana was here we dyed eggs for Easter.  Sage really had fun with it!   She wanted to do more eggs but we only had a dozen to do.  There were only a few times where I thought the dye was going to be all over my kitchen but Reese kept it all under control for me!  Love doing these holidays activities with Sage:)

 

Planting Jellybeans

We tried this last year and it worked so we had to try it again this year.  You plant jellybeans the night before Easter and on Easter morning when you go check on the jellybeans they have magically grown into a HUGE lollipop!   Sage loved it and was so excited to plant the jellybeans in the garden.

Barbie Bike

Saturday afternoon I wasn't feeling that great and went inside and Reese and Nana stayed outside with Sage.  Reese got out Sage's Barbie bike and she actually pedaled it instead of just using her feet to move.  I saw her riding the bike from the front window and had to go snap a few pictures.  She was so excited that she was making the bike go by pedaling!!

Playing Outside!

It was beautiful on Saturday afternoon we played outside, picked up sticks and chased Sage around the yard.  She was loving being outside and running around - we are so ready for Spring!
