Chickens & Turkeys

While at the Ranch we got to go with Gwen to feed the chickens & turkeys and gather the eggs.  Sage walked in with Gwen and Reese carried Quinn in.  The egss were still warm when they brought them out.  There was one Tom Turkey and he had his feathers all puffed out!  He was very pretty and very loud!  Both girls loved seeing the animals and getting the eggs.  I think their favorite part was when Gwen brought a turkey out so they could pet her.  She was very soft.

Big Gator

While at the Ranch there were lots of ride on the big John Deere Gator as well as the little one.  Quinn loved sitting up front like a big girl and Sage loved sitting in the back with Pop-Pop! 

Easter Morning

The kids got up Easter morning and gathered up all the eggs the Easter Bunny had hidden in the house.  They all loved their Easter baskets and had fun going trough them to see what was inside.  We left for home that morning and the rest of the family went to church.  It was a great weekend with family!   Thanks Shelley and Tyler!  We love the house and can't wait to come back! 

Egg Hunt with Cousins!

There was an egg hunt on Saturday morning in a park near Shelley and Tyler's house.  We all walked to the hunt and it was a beautiful Spring day!  The kids were separated into groups by age.  Quinn was in one area, Lucas in another and Corvin, Brady, and Sage in another.  All the adults separated to go with the kids.  Nana and I watched Quinn - she was none to happy to have to wait for the egg hunt to start.  She saw the eggs and wanted to start collecting them.  Finally the kids got to hunt for the eggs!  She gathered up a ton!

Love this pic of the three of us!  After the egg hunt we all went back to the house and then the three of us took off for a little shopping and lunch.  It was so nice to get away for a few hours with these two.

Easter Eggs

We went to Shelley and Tyler's for Easter.  We got there late Thursday night.  We were so excited to see them and to see their house!  This was the first time we had seen their house since they moved in last April.  It is a beautiful house and they are getting settled and making it a home!  My parents arrived Friday afternoon to absolute delight of all the gandkids!  We dyed Easter eggs Friday night and the kids loved it.  Quinn was already in bed so she missed out on the fun - always next year!

Celebration

We got back last night from a weekend up north celebrating my Grandpa's life.  98 years is a long life and it was an amazing one.  We will miss him, but know he is where he should be.  We will always love him. These pictures were taken when Grandpa met Quinn for the first time.  He asked to hold her and he was loving it - so was I!

Aunt Shelley sent the girls a Valentine's Day present.  Sage was so excited to get mail!  They did pretty good opening the package and card together.  Thanks for the new socks Aunt Shelley!

Snowshoeing

Friday afternoon while I was at my parents we went snowshoeing!  Dad stayed home while Quinn napped and Mom and I went out for an hour of snowshoeing.  I loved it!   It was a beautiful day with a gorgeous view of the shoreline.  It was definitely a workout - and a good one!  I think Reese and I need to invest in some snowshoes for the whole family!

Time with Papa

This past weekend Quinn and I went up north to my parents.  I wanted to go visit my Grandpa and I also had a baby shower to go to.  Quinn and I got Sage on the bus Friday morning and took off.  We made it to my parents in just under four hours.  We only made one quick stop for a coffee - I was a little tired and needed some caffeine.  Our friend Julie got Sage off the bus that afternoon and then Reese picked her up there.   Quinn was all about Papa this weekend.  She was his shadow - it was so cute!  It was a good thing she was all about Papa because he babysat her all day Saturday.  My Mom and I headed out and Papa and Quinn bonded!  They danced, played in the snow, went for a walk and had tons of fun!  I think Papa was a little tired!  Thank you Dad!   I was able to have a nice visit with Grandpa and go to the baby shower and enjoy myself.  Getting to spend some time with my Mom one-on-one was nice too!

Another present!

Quinn got another birthday present in the mail, this one from Mimi and Pop-Pop.  As you can see -  she had fun opening her present!

Christmas Books

We are back to pictures from before Christmas!   I was trying to get all my blogs done and scheduled ahead of time but things just kept getting in the way.  So we will be a little out of order with a few Christmas pictures in the last few posts.  And here we go!  Aunt Sandy and Uncle Al sent the girls Christmas books and they loved them!  I have a big basket I put out downstairs at Christmas time and put all our Christmas books in it.  We loved having two more books to add to our collection. 

Tree Lighting

We went to the tree lighting in our downtown earlier this month.  It was on a chilly Friday night and it was way past the girls bedtime.  But they had so much fun and so did we!  We met our neighbors, Fred, Julie and Freddie downtown for the event.  It was fun walking around and seeing all the lights in downtown.  After the tree was lit we went in and warmed up with some dessert, hot chocolate and cocktails!  What a fun night with friends!

Thanksgiving 2015

We went out to Baltimore for Thanksgiving and it was so nice to be with family!  The cousins had so much fun playing together and Mimi and Pop-Pop got to have all their grandkids together!  Russ did an amazing job on the 24 pound turkey - lots of leftovers!

I took the girls shopping on Black Friday.  We only went to Target and it wasn't that busy. Sloan got to pick out her Christmas present from us and she got most of her Christmas shopping done as well. 

 We got to meet Amanda on our trip!  We were glad we finally got to meet her and Quinn was a big fan as well.

 Quinn was pretty fussy while we were there.  She is getting a few molars in and was pretty unpleasant at times.  Uncle Russ was always a winner!

Signature Room

After doll shopping we went to the Signature Lounge in the John Hancock Tower on the 96th floor.  The views of the city are amazing!  We decided after the shopping the Mom's needed a cocktail!  The girls really liked the views of the city.  The picture of the girls below is taken from the Women's Restroom.  It has the best views!   I should know as we visited the restroom three times while we were there.  Sage was still so excited she just kept having to go!
