New Hat & Outfit!

While we were at my parents Sage got a new hat from Nana.  She loves it!   The best thing is that Nana has the pattern and she said that she will make her one for next winter too.   Love that my Mom sews things for Sage!   And as you can see from the picture so does Sage!   She has been loving this new outfit as well - it is a hand-me-down from Aunt Faith and Sloan.   Thanks for all the clothes - we love them!

A snowman!

We made a snowman with Sage while we were playing outside this weekend.  And Sage had so much fun!   She really had fun putting his eyes and nose on his face.  Thanks Nana for the snowpants - they fit great!

The Porch

Even though it was cold at my parents Sage had fun out on the porch.  It is a screened in porch and there are windows up for the winter.  But it is still pretty chilly.  Sage was running around on the porch with Nana.   She had lots of fun and we were hoping it would wear her out before bedtime - it didn't!

Sledding!

While we were at my parents we took advantage of being out in the snow!   They had enough snow to go sledding and Sage loved it.  It was really the first time she has played in the snow.  She didn't want to come inside she was having so much fun!  She didn't like when the sled would fill with snow or when her boots were covered in snow.  We had to brush the snow off for her!

Sunglasses

While we were on our way home on Sunday Sage asked for her sunglasses.   I had left them at home, so she got to wear my sunglasses.  She was thrilled that she got to wear my sunglasses even if they kept falling off!  She was really good on the drive home and we were all very glad to get home and be out of the car.

Fun visits

While we were up at my parents we also got to visit with my Grandpa R, and Grandma & Grandma K.  It was great to see them all.  Just wish we had gotten more pictures.  Sage wouldn't sit with Grandpa so I had to hold her.  She did give him a big hug and kiss when we left!  Grandpa told Aunt Terri that Sage had a lot of energy!

As you can see in this picture Sage was very happy to get out of the car and be at Nana & Papa's house!   We arrived Wednesday evening and are having lots of fun!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a good start to the day with a Valentine's Day breakfast.  Sage loved it and dug right in!   We hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Mirror and a Headband

I have a drawer in the bathroom that is filled with hair stuff:  hair ties, brushes, and headbands.  Sage loves to play in this drawer.  She uses the hair ties as bracelets, brushes her hair and on Saturday morning discovered how fun it is to wear a headband.  She thought she was to cute!   Reese lifted her onto the counter so she could see herself in the mirror.

Snack Time

Reese and Sage were having a snack yesterday afternoon and it was to cute, I had to grab the camera!   Sage stayed in her pajamas all day yesterday and was loving it!    A very relaxed winter day:)

Mail

Sage loves to go get the mail everyday and it is even more fun when there is mail for her!   Lucky girl the last two days she has gotten Valentine's Day cards.  Two of the cards had a little extra surprise - $$$$!  As soon as she saw the dollar bills she screamed - MONEY!  She was so excited to put the money in her piggy bank.  She was concentrating so hard on folding the bills so they would fit into her piggy bank.   Thanks, Aunt Terri, Nana & Papa, and Mimi & Pop-Pop for the cards.  She loved them!  We put them on the mantle and she walks by and says "My Valentine's Day cards!"

The Letter "B"

Sage and I have been working on the Letter "B" this week.  I have printed off activities for each letter and the goal was to do a letter each week.  Well, it is week six of the new year and we are only on our second letter - oh well!  We are a little behind but we will get there!   I was at Bev's yesterday for playgroup and Case showed me an activity that he had done with Bev.  I loved it and copied it for Sage.  They are working on "J" and Bev did a page of letters on the computer and Case took a marker and marked all the J's on the page.  I did the same for Sage but with B's - she loved it!   Sage had so much fun with her new marker - it is just a Bingo marker!   Thanks Bev for this great idea and for telling me about the sale on the bingo markers!

Muffins!

This morning we needed an activity to keep Sage busy.  It was just one of those mornings where nothing was making her happy.  We had some bananas that were getting old so we made some mini banana chocolate chip muffins!  As soon as Sage heard me getting out the baking ingredients she was dragging a chair over so she could help.   She kept saying "Making muffins Momma!"  She had lots of fun, helping to pour the ingredients into the mixer, turning on the mixer, and showing me which spot to put the batter for each mini muffin.  My little helper!   I love that we can bake together!

Painting

I was making breakfast yesterday morning and I needed to keep Sage occupied.  Since it was going to be a quick activity I got out her finger paints and we used them in a ziploc bag at the table.  She loved it!  She had lots of fun, as she painted we talked about the colors of the paint, and how she could mix the two colors together.  And she really enjoyed making tracks in the paint with her toys!

Football and Friends!

Being so close to the big game we had to go downtown and check out all the football fun!   Tracey and I went downtown with Andrew and Sage on Wednesday afternoon and had so much fun.   Thank you Tracey for driving and for making it such a fun afternoon - I needed it!  We saw the Huddle, the Village, the Zipline, and Monument Circle all decked out for the game.  The kids seemed to enjoy watching the Zipline.  What a fun afternoon!

Sunshine

Monday afternoon the sun was shining and it was 58 degrees.  We had to get out of the house and play.  Sage had so much fun on the swing and the slide.  She didn't want to come inside.  Here is our girl enjoying the sunshine!
