Beautiful Fall!

It has been such a beautiful Fall and we have been taking advantage of this nice weather. We went for a family walk a few weekends ago and it was beautiful out.  We walked three miles.  The kids were so tired!

Family selfie!

Sage walked most of the three miles.  Sage got tired at the end of the walk, and Quinn had just gotten out of her car and wanted to walk.  So this is how we ended our walk!  They both slept really good that night!

Playing all by herself!

Quinn and I went back to the indoor playground that we last week.  She really loved it this time because the first 40 minutes that we were there we had it to ourselves.  She was running around like crazy not knowing what to play on first.  It was a good workout for both of us!

38th Birthday

I celebrated my 38th birthday this month and it was a fun birthday.  Sage helped Reese make me breakfast in bed and she then proceeded to share it with me!  She was so excited to bring me the breakfast and kept coming upstairs to give me updates.  We are making breakfast, it will be done in 10 minutes, it will be here in just a minute.  Her updates were so cute.  I went out to lunch with Quinn and our friend Julie we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant.  She made sure to tell them it was my birthday.  So they brought me out a dessert and the sombrero and sang to me! It was a good birthday and the only thing that would have made it better was getting to celebrate with Shelley.  Look out October 2017 - we are already starting to plan a girls trip for our 40th birthday!

Shelley and the boys sent me these beautiful flowers to brighten my day and they lasted for almost two weeks!

Push Up's

One Saturday morning a few weeks ago Reese was playing with Quinn and I looked over and saw this.  Reese doing a push up with Quinn on his back.  She kept telling him more.  She was loving it!

Scarecrow Festival

A few weeks go we went to the Scarecrow Festival in downtown.  It is so nice to live in an area that has lots of family friendly events.   There were vendors set up, free hot chocolate and donuts, a bounce house, pumpkin bowling, a hay maze, face painting, and a hayride.  We tried to take it all in!  The downtown stores and restaurants even had trick-or-treating.

Love this pic - the pumpkin is in the air!

We walked around to a few downtown shops and went in the toy store.  They had this bubble machine going and Quinn loved it!

This is one of my favorite Fall outfits from Sage at this age and I love that Quinn gets to wear it too!

Walk to School

It was National Walk to School Day during the first week of October and Sage was so excited to participate in it!  We walked with a few friends that morning and the kids had a great time.  We gathered as a big group at a subdivision across the street from ours and all the kids from her school walked together.  Quinn loved being a part of such a big group.

Chocolate Pumpkins

Who doesn't love a little chocolate and when they come in the shape of cute little pumpkins!  We had to try them and they were good.  Quinn really liked them!

Halloween Presents

Last week we got a big box delivered to our door.  Presents for Halloween from Mimi and Pop-Pop were inside.  The girls were so excited to open the presents.  Thank you for the presents, the girls love their new witches and coloring books!

5 Inches

Sage has been asking to get her hair cut really short.  She wanted it cut to her chin.  I kept telling her that would mean no braids, pigtails, ponytails, or buns, she didn't seem to mind.  We compromised and she got 5 inches cut off.  She looks adorable with her new haircut and she loves it!
This was right after she got it cut.
We had to take a picture and send to Daddy!

Reading!

Sage has just started to read a little on her own.  We got her some BOB books and she loves them and wants to read them all the time.  We went to my parents a few weeks ago and we gave her the books on the trip up.  She loved the books and continues to want to read them at home.  We hope she takes off on reading and hopes that she loves to read like we both do!

Matching!

I was so excited when I found these matching cardigans for the girls.  It is the first item I bought them that was the same.  I was excited for them to wear them together.  This was the best picture I got of them together.  I love how Quinn is smiling at Sage!

Riding Sandy

At each Meijer they still have a horse you can ride - Sandy.  It is only a penny to take a ride.  We were at Meijer last week and Quinn got so exited when she saw the horse.  She got two rides becasue she wouldn't get off the horse after just one ride!

Hat Day

During Homecoming week at school they had spirit days.  This was on hat day.  Sage had to wear her flippy hat even though it was 70 degrees that day!

Cozy

Quinn looked so cozy covered up in the blanket Nana made for her - I had to snap a picture!  Love my mornings at home with my girl!

Rings!

Sage has been attempting all sorts of tricks with these rings on the playset.  She loves to show off and have me watch each new trick!  We are soaking up all our time outside as it will soon be to chilly to play on the playset.

Scooters

Quinn was trying to use Sage's scooter and kept falling off.  I decided it was time to get her one of her own.  I found one at a garage sale and she loves it!  I still have to help her on it and push her around but I bet she will have the hang of it soon!

8 years!

Reese and I celebrated 8 years of marriage a few weeks ago.  We have been through so much in these 8 years.  It is hard to believe what we have been through in this short span of time.  There have been happy times, sad times, thrilling times and heart-wrenching times.  But all this time we have been together and I wouldn't want to be on this journey with anyone else.  I love you Reese Hubbard and I am so excited to see what next adventures we have ahead us!
We stayed home for dinner in our anniversary but I wanted to make it a little special so I had appetizers and wine waiting for us when Reese got home from work.  I used placemats, candlesticks, and cloth napkins - Sage wanted to know why the table was set so "Fancy"!

 My handsome husband!

We went to this restaurant when my in-laws were here and we all loved it.  We went back and had a great dinner just the two of us!

Drinks at a local Irish place that we will be going back
to - we both loved it!

Bus Stop

Quinn gets very excited in the afternoon when it is time to go get Sage from the bus stop.  I usually will push her in a little car with a handle - much easier than to push this car below.  Everyday she runs in to the garage and makes a beeline for this car.  It still has the plastic bottom on it so she gets to rest her legs and relax while I push her up the hills.  It is a little bit of a workout for me!  It has still been nice here in the high 70's every afternoon.  We are loving the nice weather and sunshine but I am ready for more Fall weather!

Tucking In

Sage is going through this stage in her clothes where she wants everything tucked in and if it can't be tucked in she wants to wear a belt.  She was very excited when I found her belts that has been packed away since the move.  This is her favorite belt.  It is from Mimi and Pop-Pop and she got it on one of our visits to the ranch.
