New Toys

Sage has had alot of fun playing with her new toys that she got for Christmas.  One of her favorites is the blender she got from Mimi and Pop-pop.  I think Reese and I have been served over a 100 smoothies from this new blender!  It is a hit!

Princess Trunk

Sage got a trunk of princess dress-up clothes from Santa.  She wasn't so sure at first.  She tried on the tiara and the necklace, then came the shoes and the wand.  Then she thought maybe the dresses might be o.k. too.  We had lots of fun watching her play princess!

She didn't want to take it off her princess outfit - it was time for bed and she wanted to play still!

The Kitchen

What do you need to keep three little kids busy? A brand new kitchen!  All three of the kids spent lots of time playing with the kitchen and all the little appliances that go with it!  We were going to put the kitchen in the basement.  But Sage is having so much fun with it we are going to keep it in the family room for now.

Christmas with Nana & Papa!

Nana and Papa got her after Sage woke up from her nap on Christmas Day.  She had lots of fun opening her gifts and playing with Nana and Papa.

She was excited to see what was in the big bag!

She isn't quite tall enough to ride her Barbie Big Wheels - she can't reach the pedals.  But she still scoots around on it!

She had to help with every present!

Showing Nana and Papa her new kitchen.

Christmas Morning II

Sage slept in until 7:00 on Christmas morning!   We watched a little bit of Mickey Mouse, I went down and plugged in all the Christmas lights and made cinnamon pull-apart bread for breakfast.   She was at the top of the stairs ready to come down and I told her Santa had been here and left her presents.  She thought I meant Santa was still here and she stopped and grabbed Reese's hand and wouldn't go any further until I reassured her that Santa was gone.   She saw her kitchen first and it was a hit!

Then she saw all the presents and she had fun opening all of them, hers, mine and Reese's!

Love this picture of these two looking at each other - so sweet!

Sage showing me the candle holder she made us.

Taking her time and opening her present.  This was the memory game she got from us.

Sage's favorite thing in her stocking was this top.  It lights up when you let it go and spins all over the floor!

Favorite Christmas Gifts!

We got three gifts from Sage this Christmas - she made them in school with her teachers.  We loved the gifts!   I posted a picture a few weeks ago with the gifts all wrapped up.  Here are the three gifts she made us.

A tealight candle holder, an ornament with Sage's picture and a tile with Sage's handprint.  Love them all!

Ponytails & Pigtails!

Sage never lets me put here hair in a ponytail - but yesterday was a little different.   Her hair was getting in her eyes and I didn't have a bow downstairs for her.  So she let me put it in a ponytail and she kept it in!

Then she asked for Pigtails!   My lucky day!   I know it doesn't seem like much but for this Momma it was lots of fun.

She looks so big to me - and yes that is a pearl necklace Sage has on.  She got it in the trunk of dress up clothes from Santa!

Trains!

We went to a local museum yesterday morning to see their train exhibit.  Sage had lots of fun - so much fun we couldn't get her to look at the camera.   The museum also has a nice interactive area for kids.  Sage had a little trouble sharing.  She didn't want anyone else using the same exhibit that she was.  Needless to say it was a quick trip to the museum!

Her fingers have been in her mouth alot lately - think a few 2 year molars are coming in.

Playing a fun instrument with Daddy!

Pretending to ride a horse - she had fun pulling on the reins.

Christmas Morning

We had so much fun with Sage on Christmas morning!   She would open each gift and then play with it for awhile and then move on.  She would take little bits of wrapping paper off - so it took her a little bit to open each gift.  She loved her kitchen from Santa and all the gifts that went with it.  Here is a short video from Christmas morning.  She had just opened her Minnie Bow Toons and was having fun!

Christmas Tree

We were able to snap a few pictures in front of our Christmas Tree before we left for church on Christmas Eve.  Sage wasn't all that cooperative, but we got a few good ones!

Christmas Eve!

We just got home from Christmas Eve service and Sage just fell asleep.  She is going to be one tired girl tomorrow morning.   Sage did pretty good in church.  She and I went for a walk to help keep her occupied.  Her favorite part were the candles that were lit at the end and we sang Silent Night.  She kept wanting to blow out the candles!   We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve!

She looked so cute in her outfit - our girl full of Christmas cheer!

Decorating cookies

At playgroup on Wednesday Meagan had it all set up to decorate sugar cookies.  Thank you Megan for all you did for the kids.  They all had a ton of fun and the Mommy's all had fun too!   We appreciate you taking the time to get everything to decorate the cookies.  Sage's favorite decoration was M&M's - she ate more than she decorated with - such a surprise!

This was the best group shot!

Allison hard at work decorating her cookies and Andrew eating some of the decorations.  More M&M's were eaten by the kids then put on the cookies!

Marshall and Meagan - he did so good decorating!

Sage actually putting an M&M on her cookie!

JJ and Steph having some fun.

Andrew putting come sprinkles on his cookie.

This was the last cookie we decorated and it had to
be eaten right away!

A Visit with Santa!

We had playgroup yesterday and Santa Claus came to visit!  It was definitely an interesting visit.   It was half and half - half the kids were scared and half the kids liked Santa.  Sage was one of the kids that was scared of Santa, she wouldn't even sit on his lap.  She was trying to get as far away as she could.  We so appreciate Santa taking the time out of his busy schedule to stop by.

Marshall, Allison, JJ, and Andrew.

Sage would only sit with Santa if I sat with her.

JJ was the first one to sit with Santa.

Allison was next and she was done with Santa!

Then Marshall, he wasn't so sure...

Andrew was up next - it helped that Santa came prepared and handed out fruit snacks!

No way Sage was going to sit on his lap!

Allison thought Santa seemed better with her Mommy!

Baby Alice was just fine with Santa.

Andrew and JJ sitting with Santa!

Maybe next year Santa will be a hit - hope so!

Reading to her friends

Sage loves to read.   There are times when I get kicked out of the chair because she wants to be the only one reading in the chair.  Monday was one of those days.  Sage wanted to read to Baby & Paddy.  Her two favorite stuffed animals.

Chippy the elf

Chippy the elf has been keeping a watch over our house this Christmas season.  He was sent here by Santa to keep an eye on Sage during the Christmas season.  Chippy will report back to Santa to let him know if Sage was naughty or nice!  He moves around the house each night and searching for Chippy is a priority each morning.  He stays up high so Sage won't touch him or he will lose his "magic".  Here are a few spots Chippy has been keeping an eye on Sage.

Sitting on the curtain rod in the dining room.

A vase on the mantel.

Up on top of the wine cabinet.

Right in the middle of the Christmas Tree!

My favorite spot so far - the dining room chandelier!
