Ladybugs!

A few weeks ago when we were on the way to church I realized both girls had on ladybugs.  I had to get a picture of them in their cute outfits.  This is the best we got!

Mac and Cheese

This girl loves to eat!   She is at the point where she wants to feed herself everything!  She will still let me feed her yogurt and help her with the food pouches.  But other than that it is all Quinn.  She doesn't want any help.  She is eating all table food except for the baby food pouches when we are on the go, she is a great eater.   I recently found out that one of her favorites is Mac and Cheese!  She loves it!  I put it on her tray and she can't eat it fast enough. 

Daddy Daughter Date Night

We have some great neighbors that own the local Chick-fil-A.  They have monthly events for kids.  Sage and I missed the Mommy and Daughter event earlier this year but I made sure to make a reservation for Reese and Sage for the Daddy/Daughter Date night.  She had so much fun.  She got all dressed up and I curled her hair for her.   They arrived at the restaurant and were seated at a table set up with a tablecloth, napkins and menus.  They had a server as well!  There was live music playing for the evening.  They ate their meals and she was given a flower before they got a ride in the horse -drawn carriage - just like Cinderella's.   After the carriage ride it was dessert time - cupcakes!  She had so much fun and was so excited for her night with Daddy.  She came home and told me all about their night - my two favorite things she said from the night were:  "I wonder if the carriage will turn into a pumpkin at Midnight?" and "I felt like a real princess on the carriage ride!"   Love her and love that Reese treats our girls like little princesses!

Rock Wall

Sage has always been hesitant to climb on the rock wall at our playground.  A few weeks ago we were at the playground and she said she wanted to try the rock wall.  She did awesome!  She was climbing all over it and having so much fun.  She reminded me that she used to be scared of it, but not any more!  Our girl is getting brave!

Excited!

Quinn was a little excited when I came in to get her from this nap.  I had to get a picture because she was so happy!

Swings!

We went to the park a few weeks ago and it was beautiful - a little hot actually for September!   Quinn went in the swings at the park for the first time and she was thrilled.  She really liked it when her sister would push her.

7 Years

It has been such an amazing ride these last 7 years!   I so look forward to all the adventures life has for use Reese.  I wouldn't want to go through these ups and downs with anybody but you!   I love you!  Happy Anniversary!

Gate

Quinn loves having the gate up at the stairs.  This is one of her favorite tings to do these days.  Climbing and playing with the gate makes her a happy girl. 

Scooter

Sage got this scooter from Nana and Papa for her 4th birthday.  She rode it once and said that was enough - she was scared of it.  One day a few weeks ago she said she wanted to ride her scooter.  We got it out and she took off.  She loves it!   She rode it four days in a row and asks to ride it all the time now.  She told me that she used to be scared of it but now she likes it!  So proud of her for trying out her scooter!

 

More toys!

We got out the next bunch of toys for Quinn.  She is loving all the new things to play with.  This is a walk behind toy that I had on the ground for her.  She now has it upright and loves it.  She hasn't pulled herself up on this and walked with it but I know that she will be doing that soon!

Elsa dress

Sage still loves the Frozen movie and has been asking for an Elsa dress since the movie came out.  She decided to she wanted to be Elsa for Halloween.  I figured we better get her the dress/costume now because as it gets closer to Halloween they will probably be all sold out.  A big thank you to Bev - she saw this dress in JcPenney and texted me a picture.  I knew Sage would love it!  I went last week when Sage was in school and they didn't have any in her size.  I asked to see if they could ship one to the house but a really nice lady that was working went and found one in her size in the back!  Made my day and it made Sage's day too!  She was so excited to see it and had to put it on immediately!  As you can see - she loves it!  

Standing!

Quinn is getting so big!  She just keeps hitting milestones so quickly!  Pretty soon my baby won't be a baby anymore, she will be a toddler.  Not quite ready for that.  Last week I walked in to get her from her nap and she was standing in her crib.  She now loves to pull herself up and stand anywhere.  Her favorite spot to pull herself up is on the couch to see her sister. 

Working out

I have kept up with the T25 workout program and try to workout four times a week.  I was working out in the morning after I put Quinn down for her first nap.  Now that Sage is in school I will workout after we drop Sage off and Quinn goes down for her morning nap.  One morning last week when Sage was home she came down to the basement with me.  She was supposed to play and I was going to workout.  She played for about 5 minutes and then worked out with me!  She finished the entire workout.  She did great!  We have a set of 1 pound weights and she was so excited to use them. 

Stove

Good think the stove wasn't hot!   Quinn is loving all the things she can now play with in the house.

Leapfrog Table

Quinn has been loving this Leapfrog table and as you can see from this picture so does Sage.  One day Quinn will get to actually play with her toys by herself.  But for now I am loving these two playing together!

End Table

Good think I cleaned out all the bottom drawers in our tables as they now can be opened by little hands.  Quinn thinks it is pretty neat that she can now open drawers.  She doesn't seem too disappointed that there is nothing in there!

Stacking Cups

I took these while Reese was in Mexico a dew weeks ago.  I tried to send him a picture of the girls each day he was gone.   Quinn still loves these stacking cups and I had to include all three pictures - they are just too cute!

Pre-Kindergarten

Last Monday was the first day of Pre-Kindergarten for Sage.  She is at a different school this year and will be going MWF 9am-12pm.  She has 22 kids in her class - 15 boys and 7 girls.   Sage was very excited for school to start and so was I!  She did great with all the pictures before school and was so excited to get to her new school.  She did amazing with drop-off - a quick hug and kiss and she was off.

I think she was a little nervous - she didn't eat much breakfast.

Skyline

We were at the zoo a few weeks ago and Sage wanted to ride the new Skyline.  I thought she would be scared because you are pretty high up - but she did great!   She loved looking out and seeing the zoo and the city!  It was a hot day at the zoo and I am looking forward to going to there on a cool Fall day!

Stairs

Somebody found the stairs and I have a feeling it won't be long before she can get up them.  Quinn is growing way too fast!

Tea Party

A sister tea party!   Quinn is now at the stage where she really likes to interact with Sage and they can start to really play together.  They had a tea party and Sage was so excited.  As you can see in the first picture Quinn was more than happy to just eat the snacks and leave the tea to Sage.  Quinn does like the teapot - it sings to you!

I love the looks on both of their faces!   So precious!   We waited a long time for Quinn to come along and looking at these two sweet faces together makes me so glad we worked so hard to have these girls.  So very blessed!

Toy Box

We keep some of Quinn's toys in a box under the coffee table.  She likes having her toys close!  I usually get the box out for her and then she proceeds to dump them out and turn the box over.   Sometimes the box gets turned over on her leg and she wonders why she can't get on top of it!  Then she gets a little help from Mom and she is off.  This is one of her favorite things to do right now - climb on top of boxes!  It is amazing how much she has changed in this last month.
