Christmas Day 2014

We were able to sleep in until 6am on Christmas morning!   Quinn was the first one up and Sage wasn't far behind.  We got the Christmas tree and all the lights turned on and off we went downstairs.  Sage was so excited!   She went running to the tree yelling "Santa was here."  She yelled that numerous times and jumped around each time as well.  It was a little show if you will!  She was able to calm down for a few pictures before she tore into the presents.

This was the first thing Quinn went to, she loves it!

Sage super excited that Santa came!

Loving her new Elsa nightgown from Nana & Papa.

Well of course that is what you do with a giftbag!

Quinn loved her new hat so much she wore it most of the morning.

Christmas Eve 2014

Here are two pictures from Christmas Eve.  What a special night!  We went to church with Mimi and Pop-Pop then came home and had appetizers for dinner.  We read from the bible and read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.  Sage was so excited for Santa to come visit.

Gingerbread House #2

Back to Christmas with the gingerbread house we did this year.  I usually buy a kit and we put the house together.  This year I totally cheated and bought one where the house was already put together.  Sage gets soooo excited to decorate the house and she goes crazy waiting until the frosting has dried to decorate.  This kit worked perfectly and she didn't have to wait to decorate it.  Next year we will probably have to get two houses so each of the girls can have their own!

Goldie Blox

Sage got a set of Goldie Blox from Aunt Sandy and Uncle Al.  Sage loves it and I was so excited - I had been wanting to get Sage a set of Goldie Blox for awhile.  Goldie Blox are innovative toys for girls designed to develop an interest in engineering and problem-solving.  For the first week we had this we used it every night!

Belated Sage Birthday post

Sorry these posts are out of order.  I didn't realize I had some pictures on my camera that hadn't been blogged yet.  So we are going back to Sage's birthday and our smal family celebration on her actual birthday.  We went to a cupcake store and Sage picked out her birthday treat!  Then she opened a few presents.

Quinn was very happy at first.

Then Quinn got sad and wanted to help Sage open her presents.

Sage was so sweet and let Quinn help open her presents.  Not sure if you can see it but Quinn was all red and splotchy from crying.  What a good big sister!

Quinn's Birthday Celebration

We had Quinn's birthday party while family was here over Thanksgiving.  We had a nice small party with friends and family.  She seemed to really have fun and my Dad got some great pictures.  It was so nice to enjoy the party and not worry about taking pictures - Thanks Dad!  What a fun day celebrating Quinn!
Such a happy birthday girl!  Nana made her shirt and tutu!

 Walking all over the place

 She liked her cake!

My favorite picture from her party!

Why stop eating for a picture!

Thanksgiving 2014

We hosted Thanksgiving this year and it was so nice to have lots of family here for the holiday.  My Mom helped out so much thank you - she basically made the entire meal for us.  I was sous chef!  We had a fun few days celebrating the holiday.  Then Mom, Shelley, and I got to sneak out on Black Friday for a little shopping while the guys stayed home and had all the kids.  We had a really good day!
Love this pic my Dad got of Sage.

Nana and her girls (the vest Sage has on my Mom made for Shelley and I when we were little)

First year for a kids table and I realized the
kids table is really for the adults!

 A really good meal!

Mom had a birthday that weekend and we gave
her a Nana necklace - she cried!

The kids jumping off some steam on the trampoline.

Jingle Rails

We went to see the exhibit Jungle Rails while Mimi and Pop-Pop were here for Christmas.  It was a really fun afternoon.  Sage loved all the different buildings to look at and Quinn seemed to enjoy the trains going around the room. It was at a beautiful museum and they have a great children's area downstairs.  Sage had lots of fun and Quinn was loving the stagecoach you can get in and pretend to ride in.  Thanks Mimi and Pop-Pop for such a fun afternoon!
