Christmas Day

What fun we had on Christmas Day!  Sage and Finn weren't to into the presents, but Sloan had a great time opening her presents.  It was so fun to watch her open her presents and get all excited with each one.  Here are a few pictures from Christmas Day.

Reese got this shot and I love it!  Our beautiful girl getting a kiss from Mommy.

Sloan and Finn playing with their new Pillow Pets!  Sage really liked hers too!

Sage was having lots of fun in Finn's chair!  Thanks to Russ and Faith she can now have fun in her own Pottery Barn chair!

TIme with Uncle Russ

While we were away for Christmas it was very clear who Sage wanted to spend time with:  Uncle Russ.  It was so cute!   She always wanted to be with Uncle Russ.   Thank you Russ for giving Sage so much of your time and attention while we were there.  She just loves her Uncle Russ!   Here are some pictures of the two of them over Christmas.

At Christmas Eve service, it was a bit busy for us, the kids were giving us all a run for our money.

Christmas Day - all Sage wanted was to sit with Uncle Russ.  Mom and Dad couldn't keep her happy but Uncle Russ did.

Christmas Day opening presents was lots of fun but Uncle Russ made it even more fun!

Sleeping

This picture was taken during one of Sage's naps when we were at Russ and Faith's for Christmas.  I wish I could say she slept great while we were there - that is definitely not the case.  She slept horrible the entire time we were away from home.  Naps were taken with Mom or Dad and two of the nights Sage slept with me.  This is the first time in over eleven months that Sage slept with one of us for the night.  We all sleep much better if she sleeps in her crib.  We have all slept alot better since we got home and Sage has been in her crib.  Sage went right to sleep in her crib when we got home and has been going down for naps like a champ!  She has been getting up about once a night since we got home.  This is fine with me, it is a great time to give her medicine.  She is teething and has a sinus infection.  We hope you feel better soon Sage!

Christmas Eve!

We had a wonderful Christmas out East with family!  I wanted to share a few pictures from Christmas Eve.  It was after church and before Sage went to bed and she wasn't really into getting her picture taken.   We didn't get a good family shot so here is Sage with each of us and by herself.  We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Holiday Spirit

This past weekend was a great family weekend.  Saturday night we went to the zoo and saw the beautiful Christmas lights with Kevin, Stephanie and Sam.  It was cold but we had a great time!  Then Sunday we went to see Jingle Rails with Kelly and Jason.  Jingle Rails is a train exhibit with a network of trestles, bridges and tunnels with chugging trains and replicas of national treasures, trimmed for the holidays and all made with natural materials.  Corvin would have loved it, we will have to take him next year.  We had a fun afternoon and Sage really seemed intrigued by the trains.  We enjoyed our family weekend and spending time with great friends.  What a good way to get in the holiday spirit!

We hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve!

A Christmas Book

We got a fun package in the mail last week from Nana and Papa.  A fabric Christmas book!  Sage was having fun with Daddy reading it for the first time.  She was very active that night and didn't make it through the whole book.  But we have read it many times since then.  Thanks Nana for making me a special book!

Another New Bib

I have gotten another new Bib for Sage and I had to get a picture of her in it.  The bib is adorable!   I got it from my friend, Sarah.  Her company Aspire to be is on Etsy and she ships her products all over the U.S.   You have to check it out:

http://www.etsy.com/shop/shopaspiretobe

I have ordered a bunch of stuff from her for Sage:  bibs, pacifier clips/toy clips, and a cute stuffed bunny.  She does great work and she now has an embroidery machine!   When I told her I wanted a bib for Sage all I said was that I wanted a girly bib.  I got the cutest bib ever!  Here is Sage sporting her new bib.   Sage is also sporting a cheesy smile.  She has been smiling like this for a few weeks and I finally captured it.  I am a little biased but I love this cheesy smile!

Upside Down

One of Sage's favorite activities is being upside down!   She loves it - our silly girl!  Not sure if its the head rush or what, that she loves but she just giggles when she is upside down.  Reese was taking a quick break the other day and he was enjoying playing with Sage and she was to!   You can see in this picture how long her hair has gotten.

Early Christmas present

We got an early Christmas present in the mail from Aunt Sandy, Uncle Al and Elizabeth.  Thank you for thinking of Sage and sending her fun presents.  We will miss not seeing you at Christmas.  Sandy sent two presents for Sage, one to open now and another on Christmas.  What a lucky girl Sage is to be so loved!  We love you favorite Aunt Sandy!!

Sage even had fun opening the card!

She was so serious opening the present!

I had to include this one even though it is a little fuzzy.  She is to cute with her tongue sticking out!  Sage loves her new Christmas book - Thank you!

Uh-Oh

Sage is thinking in this picture:  Uh-oh I think I have something I am not supposed to have.  She is correct she has the lens cap to our camera and she was very proud of herself for snagging it.  She got it and took off crawling very fast!  Here she is stopped to look over her treasure.

Playing cards

One of Sage's favorite games is to play with cards.  We have a drawer in our coffee table that has become the card drawer.  It has at least 6 different decks all without cases (since Sage has torn all the cases to shreds!)  She will play with the cards for a very long time and loves to find a new deck and add it to her card collection!

Santa Visit

We got to see Santa this week at our playgroup.  Bev's Dad was so nice to come over and be Santa for us so the kids could visit with him.  Well, let's just say Sage wasn't to fond of Santa and neither were most of the kids.  We really appreciated Bev's Dad coming over for the kids.  It was definitely a fun afternoon.

She wasn't going to let go of me, but we tried it and you can see the result below.

Not so happy.

Really not happy here.  My friend Sarah said she is pretty sure this would win an award for the best reaction to Santa.  I have to agree with her.  They took a group picture and Sage was so upset she wasn't even in the picture - she did calm down pretty quickly.  But she didn't want anything to do do with Santa.

Messy hair

Sage's hair is getting long and I love it!  Each morning when she gets up she has really messy hair   Here she is the other morning.  I love that pretty soon I will be able to put her hair into a tiny little ponytail!

The Farm

We  have had the Little People Farm since last Christmas - Thanks Joe & Jen!  It has been out in Sage's room for awhile but she hasn't played with it to much until recently.  She can't get enough of the farm!  She was really enjoying playing with it this morning.  On another note, Sage slept in this morning until 8:00am!  It was wonderful - I woke up at at 7:45am.  Sage has been getting up in the middle of the night.  Not sure if it is her teeth or what is going on, but she didn't get me up in the middle of the night either.  It was a good night of sleep for all of us.

Big Bib!

Sage has moved up to the next size in her bibs and it is pretty big!   I just had to take a picture of her in it.  The other bibs she has were starting to come up on her tray when she was eating.  This big stays tucked under her tray and keeps her nice and clean!  Well, as clean as a one year old can be after eating.  The only reason she has that big smile is her Daddy was walking around the corner to come see her!   She is so expressive and we love it.  She is chatting and babbling all the time.  Not sure what she is saying, but pretty soon I am sure some words will be coming out

Children's Musem

We recently bought a family pass for the Children's Museum and Sage and I finally got to use it this week.  We had lots of fun and she really enjoyed looking at all the exhibits.  We went on the carousel, played in the babyscape area, looked at penguins and went through the Barbie exhibit.  It was a nice afternoon.

 Not a bad self portrait!

 She loved looking at this!

Two Happy People!

I found this picture on my camera from the other day - I didn't think I got any good pics, but I was wrong.  I LOVE this pic!  Sage had just gotten up from her nap and we were trying to figure out what outfits she had for Christmas.  So of course we had to try on her hat!

Walking around

Sage isn't interested in walking yet, but she loves to push her toys around.  She will start out pushing her toys on her feet and then after a few steps she gets down on her knees and takes off with the toy.   She is getting really fast!

Dishwasher

Sage has been fascinated by the dishwasher the last few weeks.  Anytime it is open she wants to help.  She takes the dishes out and pushes the drawer in and even tries to close it.  She is my little helper!

Fireworks!

We went to the Town's tree lighting last night and it was lots of fun.  It was a chilly 30 degrees but we all got bundled up and headed out.  They had Christmas music from a variety of local groups and churches, crafts for the kids to do (I know Sage will have fun with the crafts in a few years!) and Santa was there.  The best part of the night were the Fireworks.  They were the first fireworks that Sage has seen and she loved them!   The noise didn't scare her and she was really paying attention to the fireworks.  We had a great night!

This picture wasn't from last night, we forgot our camera.  I took this after her morning nap today and she was playing with Daddy.  If you look close you can see that she now has two teeth on the top.  We think she has another four teeth coming in.  What fun!

Wednesday Play Group

We love our Wednesday play group!   Sage and I both have so much fun.  I am very fortunate that I found this group of kids and Moms!  The first picture Sage isn't in, we joined the group in May.  I wish we had found the group sooner.   But we have lots of fun now at group and all the other outings we go on together.  What a fun picture of the kids now.  I am amazed they all sat on the couch for the picture!  Granted they didn't sit for very long!  I always look forward to Wednesdays and this group.

Fun Faces

We had a great time up north but I didn't get to many pictures.  Shelley took some good ones on Thanksgiving when she sends them to me I will post a few.  Here are two pictures I took of Sage when we were home for the holiday.  I have been capturing some fun faces of Sage these past few weeks.  Not getting her smiling but making some cute faces!  At least I think they are cute!

Favorites...

This picture is from Sunday afternoon when Sage was sick.  She sat and watched football with Reese for 30 minutes.  Our beautiful girl never sits still for that long, she was really not feeling good.  She seems to be back to normal, except for the four teeth she has coming in.
