Cheese!!!

When I take pictures of Sage I can usually get her to smile for me by saying "Cheese".  Now this doesn't happen all the time.  But it did today, and I love this picture!   She is sitting on the bench in our dining room and I just love her grin!  She looks so big to me in this picture.  I can't believe she will be 17 months soon.

Clapping

This is a typical shot of Sage each day.  She loves to clap and claps all the time every day - wonder where she gets if from!!!  She seemed to be back to her happy self yesterday.  Let's hope that trend continues!

Stroller

Sage was loving her stroller this weekend.  Her doll was in it and she decided that she wanted to get in the stroller too!  Luckily Reese was right there and was able to catch her as she was trying to get into the stroller with her doll.  She settled for loading her stroller up with any toy she could find and off she went.   We both really enjoyed watching Sage play with her stroller!

Please don't mind my dirty shoe in the picture.
For some reason Sage loves our shoes!

She was thinking, "I think I can fit this in here somewhere!"

Get my feet!

Reese and Sage have so much fun playing.   She loves it when he tickles her feet.  She will put her foot towards him so he can get her!  I love to watch the two of them together.  Seeing them together just makes me smile.

Waving Away!

Sage waves all the time.  She will wave to cars that pass us in parking lots, to the kids walking by the house to get on the bus, and to shoppers in the grocery store.  My favorite is when Reese is feeding her and I am cooking in the kitchen she will wave away at me from her booster seat.  It is too cute!  In this picture she was playing with her bus and then decided she wanted to come across the room to see me - waving away as she came across the room.   It is amazing how much love you can have for someone so little!

Dessert?

Sage has been having a tough time cutting some teeth.  There are two teeth coming in on the bottom.  One is almost all the way out and the other is just breaking through the surface.  She has been getting lots of medicine to help her feel better.  This was the other morning and she was having fun chomping on her dessert from her tea set!  I hope it made her feel a little better.

Sunglasses Update

Sage was loving her new sunglasses from Aunt Shelley.  She wore them on 4 walks, 4 trips in the car and all over the house.  Well that was all they lasted.  She broke them on our walk yesterday.  The good thing is that she actually kept them on her face - most of the time.  Now I will just have to go buy a few pairs and make sure we always have a spare pair on hand!  Luckily I captured a few more pictures of her with her sunglasses on.  Here they are!

She was a little grumpy that morning, can you tell?

Sage was very excited to go on our walk and so was I - it was in the 70's late last week.

It was so warm out I had to come home and change into short sleeves and I got Sage out of her jacket.  Her socks and shoes came off as well.  She was loving being outside and so was I!

Mickey T-Shirt

We wanted to thank Aunt Shelley and Uncle Tyler for the cute Mickey Mouse T-Shirt.  When they were at Disney, Shelley called to tell me she found a cute souvenir for Sage!  And is it ever cute - we love the t-shirt and I think Sage looks super cute in it!

As you can see, Sage is missing her pants.  She took her socks off and kept right on going and took her pants off too!  It was close to bath time so she ran around without her pants for a little while.

Sunglasses

While I was gone this weekend Reese got Sage to wear her sunglasses - she loves them!   She put them on yesterday morning and was walking all over the house with them on.  Hopefully she keeps them on when we are outside this summer.

Day in the City!

We left Elise's and took the train into the city.  We had a long but fun day in the city.  We were on 9:30am train and left the city after 8:00pm that night.  We were all a bit tired.  But what a fun day Elise planned for us.  We checked out her new neighborhood and did a tour of fun food spots.  Thanks Elise for all you did to make sure we all had a great time.

Dinner Out!

This weekend I was in Chicago for a girls weekend, and I had a great time.   There were six of us - thanks Elise for hosting all of us.  We were missing Amy Sue who was home taking care of her precious newborn, Garrett.  This picture was from dinner out on Friday night.  We had a great dinner and it was so nice to sit, relax and have a good glass of wine, but the best part was the company!

New Purse

Sage got a new purse from Mimi and she loves it!   Here she is playing with her new purse - Thanks Mimi!

Chair

Sage has been loving this chair!  She like to get up in the chair and try to move the lamp that she knows she isn't supposed to move.  A few days ago she pushed the lamp off the table and I caught it right before it hit the floor.  Our little mischievous girl!

Pockets

Sage found her pockets yesterday and it was adorable!   This was the first time she had worn these pants and she was very intrigued by the pockets.  All day she was putting stuff in her pockets and taking it out.  She needed a little help sometimes, but usually she was able to put her treasures in and take them out by herself.  One of the simple pleasures of life - pockets!

Phones

Sage loves all phones, cell phones, cordless phones and her toy phones.  Reese's parents were here this weekend and she was loving Pop-Pop's phone.  He would put it away in his pocket and she would find it immediately!   It was a fun game for Sage - not so sure how much fun it was for Pop-Pop!  Here she is playing with Pop-Pop's phone and having a great time.

More Shoes

As you might have seen in a previous post Sage loves shoes.  She even likes her own shoes - not just Mommy & Daddy's.  She likes to try to put on her own socks and shoes - she's not quite there yet!  In the pictures below she was having lots of fun trying to put on her shoes, but she needed a little help from Daddy.

She was very excited about having her shoe on!

Teeth...

Do you think her teeth hurt?

This picture is from Wednesday night, we were waiting for Daddy to get home.  Her teeth had been hurting her all day and I had just given her some medicine.  Then she finally got some relief - her new favorite toy!   When she bites on the toy it vibrates and soothes her teeth.  She was just standing there the toy clenched in her mouth.  She seemed better - who knows if it was the toy or the medicine!  Thanks Mimi for the toy - she has used it each time she has gotten a tooth.

It's Official - Sage is WALKING!

We have a walker on our hands.  Sage has been walking more and more and for about a week she has been walking more than crawling!   So, I think it is safe to say it is official - Sage is walking!  She has been so much fun to watch as she has gotten her footing and taken off.  I am sure she will be running soon!  It took three attempts yesterday morning, but here is a video of our beautiful girl walking.

Fun afternoon

When my Mom was here we met up with a few friends from our playgroup at the Children's Museum.  What a fun afternoon we had.  We played in all sorts of fun exhibits and even got to ride the carousel.  It was nice to have Mom there for the day.  Thanks Bev for getting my Mom into the Museum!

Tracey, Andrew, Sage and I at the Dora exhibit.  Trying to get all of us to smile in one picture just wasn't going to happen!

A rare picture of Sage and I - a good one at that!

Another picture of Sage and I - thanks Mom for being our photographer for the day.

Tracey, Andrew, Bev, Case, Sage and I on the carousel.  Sage wasn't to happy until we were moving.

Shoes...

Sage has been putting on our shoes any chance she gets.  Here she is putting on Daddy's boot.  She gets so excited once she gets it on her foot.  She has also been trying to put her socks on - we aren't there yet - but getting close.  She has learned where her nose and eyes are and she now knows what a sheep and lion say.  She loves to roar like a lion!  It is so fun each day as she learns more and more!

You can see in this photo that her hair is hanging in her eyes.  That is all the time now.  Whenever I put a bow in her hair she pulls it out.  The only time she keeps a bow in is when she is distracted.

Special Visit

My parents were here visiting this past week and we had a great time.  My Mom was here for a week and my Dad came down mid-week.  It was nice to have Nana here for a full week!  Sage and I had lots of fun with Nana.  We went to the Children's Museum, Story Time at the Library and ran all sorts of errands.   Then Papa got here and it was all about Papa.  If we were all in the room forget about the rest of us - Sage wanted Papa!  It was too cute!   Here is a picture of them in one of Sage's favorite spots - the bottom step.  She loves to sit up there.
