Stove Drawer

Quinn has been playing with the stove drawer for a little while.  But this was the first time she managed to get inside of the drawer.  She was so pleased with herself!

Looking Outside

Sage was outside playing with some friends and Quinn wanted to join them.  She stood at the window and called out to the kids.  You could tell all she wanted to do was go play with the kids.  Soon enough kiddo!

House

This house was a hit with Sage, and then we lent it to Lucas.  He loved it too!   As you can see in the pictures below, Quinn loves it as well!  She will sit and play with this house for a long time.   It really keeps her occupied.  Sage loves to play with Quinn and the house too! 

Doodle Pro

Quinn always wants to play with Sage!  Sage is usually pretty good about having her sister around and playing with her toys.  We have two Doodle Pros but it doesn't seem to be enough.  Quinn always wants the one Sage is using.

Halloween is almost here and this girl is ready with her new outfit from Nana and Papa!

Push Toy

So this happened last week...

Sage yelled for me to come quick - she was so excited to tell me and to show me that Quinn was up walking behind her push toy.   Quinn only went a few steps that day.  But since then she is all over the house walking behind the push toy.  Before we know it she will be walking.  Slow down time - our baby is growing way to fast!

She was pretty pleased with herself!

Sunhat

I was getting a hat out of the closet last weekend and my sunhat fell out onto the floor.  Sage was so excited to try on the big pink hat!  She walked around the house in that hat forever!

Happy Birthday Brady!

We hope you have a great day Brady!   Happy Birthday!  Have fun celebrating!   We are excited to see you in a few weeks. 

New Hat

This hat was made by a very special friend - Amy Sue.  She has been a friend since the days of Sigma Kappa at CMU.  She knew of our fertility struggles and prayed this verse for us: 

1 Samuel 1:27  I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. 

When Quinn was born Amy Sue sent this hat along with a beautiful cross that is now hanging in Quinn's room.  In the gift she explained the verse that she had been praying for us.  The hat is a little bird and it signifies that our nest is now full and complete.  She also made us beautiful thank you cards with the same theme- our nest is compelete.  The cards are so pretty I only send them out sparingly!  You know if you get a birds nest card from us you are pretty special!  What a precious gift from a great friend! 

Quiet Car

The girls were really good on the car ride home from Reese's reunion.  They played and laughed and even took naps!  Sage loved her new seat in Daddy's car.  It is a high back booster seat that uses the seatbelt and that was the first time she used it.  It's the little things!  She really liked that there was a cupholder for her cup or her snacks.  Quinn was a little restless but did pretty good.  We stopped on the way home to meet Shelley, Tyler, and the boys for lunch.  It was good to see them, even though it was a quick visit. 

 They even both napped at the same time!

25th Reunion

Reese had his 25th High School Reunion last weekend!  We made it a family weekend and all went on the trip.  We left mid-afternoon on Friday and got there in time to have dinner at the hotel.  There was a gathering later that evening for drinks that both Reese and I were able to attend.  Saturday we got up and had breakfast, Quinn had a long nap and we headed across the street to the John Deere Pavilion.  They have all sorts of interactive displays and many tractors and machines to climb in.  Sage was in heaven! 

After the tractors we headed to Reese's favorite pizza place to get a Taco Pizza - his favorite.  Headed back to the hotel and we all took a nap!   Reese joined the girls and I for a quick dinner before he went to the reunion.  Our babysitter cancelled so it was the girls and I for the night.  Reese had a great time and was very tired as two late nights in a row took their toll!  A good family weekend!

Ballet

Sage has been loving her ballet class.  She gets so excited on Thursday for her class.  She loves picking out her leotard and getting ready for ballet.  She always wears her sparkly cowboy boots to class.  Every few weeks they have a show class - where the last 10 minutes they put on a little show for the parents of what they have been working on last few weeks. She really likes it and loves to show us her new dance moves! 

9 Months

Par for the course - this monthly update is late - such is life these days!  Quinn has been on the move.  She likes to go, go, go!  I have a feeling she will be walking before we know it.  I took these pictures and couldn't decide on a favorite so you get five pics of Quinn at 9 Months.  She continues to be a happy girl.  She is truly a Momma's girl, and I love it!  I know this will change soon and she will be a Daddy's girl soon.  So I am taking all those extra snuggles and kisses.  When she gets hurts she wants Momma, when she is tired she wants Momma and just about any other time she wants Momma!  She and Sage still have so much fun together.   Lately chasing Sage around the house has brought squeals of delight!  Quinn never seems to get tired of chasing her sister.  She still will go in the exersaucer and hasn't been sleeping great.  I am hoping the bad sleep is a phase and that it will end soon.  Her favorite foods these days are peas and cheese.  She is eating all table food and loves it!  I can't believe she will be a year soon. 

Alumni Ambassador

There is a new program from CMU that I am participating in.  It is through the Admissions Office and it is the Alumni Ambassador program.  When I was on campus at CMU I was a Campus Ambassador.  I gave tours of campus to perspective students. This is basically the same type of program - just off campus.  I have worked two events so far and loved it!   I really loved my time at CMU and it is fun helping recruit new Chippewas!

Soccer Take #2

Sage said she wanted to play soccer again and her second season just ended. I realized at her last game that I hadn't taken one picture this season.  I tried to snap a few pictures that totally didn't turn out.  So at least we have the team picture and her individual picture to show you!  She still is a little timid on the field but seems to enjoy it.  Her last game of the season was her best yet - she was staying with the ball and really going for it!

Happy

We are so lucky to have such a happy baby!  Quinn is usually all smiles and so content.  She plays so good by herself and loves to play with her sister.  I love to see our girls interacting with each other.  They have lots of fun togeher! 

I snapped this pic when we were up at the park last week.  We have really been enjoying these beautiful Fall days.  Even though at 80 degrees in the afternoon it feels like summer to me!

Anniversary

Most of you know that I love decorating for holidays.  I have thrown two more holidays into the mix!  I decorated for back to school this year and just recently our anniversary.  What more special occasion to celebrate then our anniversary.  I had fun finding things around the house to decorate with.  I did buy the stickers in the frame, and the beautiful flowers came from Mimi and Pop-Pop - Thank you!

Lunch!

We usually go out to lunch one day a week after we pick Sage up from school.  On this day we went at Chick-fil-A, that is where Sage usually chooses to go. They were both in such good moods that day!
