Purple Barrette

Sage got a fun package in the mail on Wednesday - new barrettes and a bow!   We loved them so much she wore one of the barrettes on Thursday.  I had to snap a few pictures of her.  Thank you Amy Sue - she loves them and so do I!  The bow stays in her hair better than any others we have!

First Ponytail!

I have been waiting to put Sage's hair in a ponytail and I got to on Monday!   She normally won't sit still long enough for me to put her hair in a ponytail but thanks to Reese distracting her I was able to put it back.  She looked so cute I had to share it with you!  Yes, that is the lens cap she is holding.  Whatever I can do to get her to sit and get her picture taken!

On a total different subject I am excited for the Royal Wedding today.  Coverage starts at 4am and I have the DVR set to tape!   Happy Friday!

Easter Morning

Easter morning was a busy one!  The kids getting their baskets, finding the eggs, eating breakfast and getting ready for church it didn't leave any time for pictures.  We tried to snap a few before church and by the time we got home from church Sage was ready for her nap.  Here are a few pictures we did manage to get that morning.

Easter Egg Hunt

The kids had lots of fun during the Easter Egg Hunt.  Corvin found the most eggs and was so excited - it was too cute!   Next year will be so much fun, Sage will really be into finding the eggs.

Coloring Eggs

What an adventure coloring eggs with the little ones!   We only colored a dozen eggs and that was plenty.  They all had fun - so we succeeded!   Here they are coloring eggs and having some fun.

Easter Visit

We had a fun time at Shelley and Tyler's.   The kids all got along and had fun playing together.  It is neat to see the cousins interact.  Thanks Shelley and Ty for a great weekend!  Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Happy Birthday Uncle Russ!

Early Easter Basket

Sage got a very special delivery on Tuesday afternoon - an Easter basket from Mimi and Pop-Pop!   Thank you!!!   She had so much fun opening it and loved all the goodies inside.  After taking all the pictures I realized I should have taken a video instead of pictures.  Here she is opening her first Easter basket!

Baby Doll Stroller

A new activity has been taking place here - pushing Sage in her baby doll stroller.  That's right, not her regular stroller - but her baby doll stroller.  A couple days ago Sage decided she would sit in her stroller and she loved it!  Thanks Aunt Shelley for the stroller - bet you didn't think this is how it would get used!

Reese and I were pushing her back and forth across the kitchen.  She cried when she had to get out of the stroller.  She definitely doesn't like to be told when she is done!

First Fashion Issue...

Sage was loving this fleece vest this weekend.  She wore it all day Saturday and then on Sunday she found it on the floor in her room.  She was carrying it around and kept wanting me to put it on her.  I did put it on her and she wouldn't take it off.  She would cry when I would try to unzip it.  We ran out to the store Sunday morning and I just left it on her - figured I didn't need that many tears that early in the day!  She was a little snug in her jacket with the fleece vest underneath but she was happy.  Here she is playing with the boxes in our Family Room.  We keep books in the boxes and she has been having fun taking out all the books!

Lunch Date

It was kind of a gray day on Friday and we didn't have much to do - so we went out to lunch.  We went to Chick-fil-A and Sage ate great.  She was all about the chicken nuggets - I am sure you can see the ketchup around her mouth!  I love having lunch dates with my daughter!

Spring Outfit!

Sage looked to so cute in this Spring outfit I had to take a few pictures!   She is getting so big - she was getting ready to help put her shoes on.  You can see that the John Deere cell phone won out instead of putting on her shoes.

My Bears Fans

Reese was getting ready to leave for the weekend and I had to snap a few pictures of he and Sage in their Bears gear!  They are both ready for football season - lets hope there is a season this year.  They got some great quality time in before Reese left.   Thanks Reese for doing bath and bedtime Thursday night.  It was nice to have a little break before spending the weekend with Sage by myself.

Swinging

We have been outside alot the last few weeks and I love it!   We have been trying to get Sage to swing and she hasn't been up for it.   But on Wednesday she was - we were at  Baby Jam and Sage was loving the swing.  She had so much fun in the swing she didn't want to share.  She wasn't very happy with me when I took her out.  Luckily for her she got many turns in the swing.  Thanks Bev for the picture!

Pond Hockey

We went to see my parents in February and had a great trip.  We hadn't see them since Christmas and they always love visits from Sage, (I mean all of us!).  We chose that weekend in February since it was the weekend of a Pond Hockey tournament.  What a sight to see!  160 teams on 30 rinks on a Great Lake = one AMAZING Sight!  It was so much fun to see all the teams playing hockey.  My Dad went up and took some aerial photos of the action and Reese went with him.  I was invited to go up in the air as well - but I declined.  I like airplanes bigger than those that hold only four people.   We saw some great hockey and had alot of fun.  Thanks Mom & Dad for watching Sage so Reese and I could have some fun.  We got to go on three dates in one weekend!

Hanging with Daddy

I had a meeting last night so Reese and Sage were hanging out together.  They had lots of fun and Sage found a new favorite spot - the half wall in our entry way.  With the addition of the gate at the bottom of our stairs we took away one of her favorite spots to sit - the bottom stair.  Well now she has her new favorite spot!  I had to get a few shots of the fun!

She was loving it when Reese would put her down to the floor - she wouldn't put her feet down to touch.   Too cute!

The Stairs

Saturday morning started off interesting in our house.  There was a accident with the stairs and it wasn't Reese or I falling down them it was Sage.  I was making breakfast and Reese went up stairs - I thought he had her, he thought I had her and as I came around the corner I got to see her fall down five stairs.  She landed face first on the linoleum with her feet heading towards the front door.  What a way to start the day.  She cried for a minute or so, I think she was more scared than hurt.  Mommy had some tears as well.   She seemed to be o.k. and we called the pediatrician to see what we should look for.  The only thing that they seemed to worry about was if she was throwing up - she was not.  Then the guilt started - if we had a gate she wouldn't have been able to get up there in the first place.  Well, needless to say within two hours of her falling we had a gate at the bottom of the stairs.  She has a bruise on her right hip and a bruise by her right eyebrow and a fat lip.  All seem to be healing quickly.  Here is a picture not long after she fell - she seemed to have already forgotten about her fall,  She is very intrigued by our new gate.  Amazing how resilient kids are!
