Caterpillar

Sage and I have been working on this caterpillar for a couple weeks.  Each time we did a new color she would color a section of the caterpillar.  She had lots of fun putting it all together - so did I!  Notice the expression on her face, this is the one I get when I ask her to smile.  I took about ten pictures of her and the caterpillar and this was the best one.

Relaxing!

This is how we relax after a morning at school.  Lounging in our chair with our fire hat on and holding our backpack watching one of our favorite shows - Word World!

I asked her to smile and this is what I got!

Puzzles & Shapes

We did a few activities this afternoon to keep Sage busy.  We did a shape match-up and some puzzles.  She had fun with both activities!  It is nice being back home and doing activities with Sage.  I was gone all weekend visiting our new nephew in Peoria.  He is adorable and I loved holding him and getting all those newborn snuggles.

Spring Program

Sage's school put on their Spring Program tonight.  She looked so cute up on stage performing with her class!  Imagine sixteen 2.5 year-olds on stage - chaos!   I managed to get a cute picture of Sage and Reese before the program and a few videos during the show.   Enjoy the show - I know we both did!

We brought Sage to her classroom before the show - she had a death grip on Reese.

Getting ready for the show.

Color Matching Game

I have found some great activities to keep Sage occupied from this website:  http://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com.  There are some great tips, ideas, and lots of fun and educational printables.   This latest activity I found was the Paint Brush Color Matching game.  Sage loves it!   I pulled it out on yesterday morning and she played with it over and over again.  She got mad when I put it away.  I decided we needed to get the paintbrushes laminated or it wouldn't survive in our house for long.

Princess Time

Saturday night Sage was going through all her princess clothes.  She decided on this skirt/shirt combo.  She was really into the jewels around the neck on the shirt!  She had to wear a necklace, slippers and get her wand out too!   Here is our beautiful princess!

Rain Boots

Saturday morning Reese was outside working in the backyard.  It had rained all Friday night so it was pretty wet out there.  What better time to throw on Sage's rain boots and go help distract Daddy!   Thanks Nana & Papa for the rain boots!

I asked for a smile and this is what I got!

Purple!

This past week we worked on the letter "D" and lots of colors.  Sage knows all her colors and we had fun doing activities for each color.  One of her favorite activities was the sensory bin I put together for the color purple.  I used to have packing peanuts in the sensory bin container but just switched over to rice.  She wasn't to sure of the rice to start and would get this funny look on her face when she touched it.  She did get used to the rice - but it took a little while.

Easter Treats!

I love to bake and make sweet treats for all holidays!   This Easter I made Birds Nests - they turned out great.  We went to Kelly & Jason's for Easter dinner, thanks for including us.  It was great to spend Easter with them and their family.   I brought these and they were a hit!

Basketball Hoop

The Easter Bunny brought Sage a basketball hoop - she saw it first thing Sunday morning.  It was set up in the corner of our room, she saw it and immediately started shooting hoops!  I see many hours of playing basketball in our future!

She was so excited - this was the best picture I could get.

Giant Lollipop!

Yesterday Sage was asking for a taste of her GIANT Lollipop from Easter.  I got it out and she enjoyed it.  Hard for her to get a good taste of it when the lollipop is as big as her head!

Jelly Bean Surprise!

The night before Easter we planted some special Jelly Beans.  The next morning we went out and the special Jelly Beans had grown into a GIANT Lollipop!   Sage and Natalie had fun planting the Jelly Beans with Reese.  I have been told this only works the night before Easter!

She was asking Reese to open it!

Easter Basket

The Easter Bunny hid Sage's Easter Basket and it took her a little while to find it.  She was very excited when she found it hidden by the wine cabinet!   She had lots of fun going through her basket to see what the Easter Bunny had brought her.  She got two necklaces, bunny ears, Easter stickers, M&M's, a chocolate bunny, a plush bunny, and lots more chocolate!

Egg Hunt

There were plastic eggs filled with M&M's all over our house Easter morning.  Sage would squeal with delight each time she found an egg.  Each time she found one she opened it up and promptly ate the M&M's that were in each egg.  After about five eggs she stopped eating the candy and just put the eggs in her bucket and would move on to find more eggs.  There were two special eggs that had $1 in each, those were her favorite eggs!

Happy Easter!

We hope you all are having a great Easter!   We took these pictures before we left for church this morning.  Sage wasn't really in the picture mood.  So we told her if she got her picture taken she could have a donut after church, it worked!   She let us take a few pictures and to top it off - she was really good in church.  She usually goes to the nursery but today we took her into the service with us.  She sang, clapped, went down for the Children's Message (I had to go with her), and she also made a few new friends during church!

Thanks Aunt Shelley for my cute dress!

Coloring Eggs

We colored eggs this afternoon and all had lots of fun.  Sage was really interested in the dye - of course!   Reese and I both helped her with the eggs.  We won't be able to eat these beautiful eggs because the other night when I boiled them I left them out in the sink ALL night.   But at least we had fun coloring eggs!

More Easter Crafts!

We did two more Easter crafts yesterday morning.  I think my girl could do crafts all day if I let her!   I love to watch her as we do crafts - she really concentrates on them.  I got both of these ideas off of this blog:  http://www.littlefamilyfun.com/

This was Sage's favorite Easter egg to create.  She had lots of fun trying to figure out where to put the buttons and the pom-poms.

The finished Easter eggs!!

Purple Princess

We have a trunk of dress-up/princess clothes in the play area in our family room.  Last night after dinner, Sage went over and pulled out a dress.  She told us she wanted to be a princess.   She had so much fun running around the house in her princess dress!

Think she missed her Daddy?

Smoothies

We have been having lots of smoothies in this house - all 3 of us!   I have been making most of the smoothies but did buy these little smoothies at the store for Sage.  She loves them and always asks for more when she is done.   Reese is getting home this afternoon after being gone for 3 days.  We are both excited to see him.  I put Sage in this cute shirt that says "I Love Daddy".  She has only worn it twice and it is almost to small.  She is getting so big!

Plastic Easter Eggs

Aunt Shelley gave Sage a kit to decorate plastic eggs for Easter.  We have lots of plastic Easter eggs and decided to spare a few to do the craft with Sage.  Sage had lots of fun placing the stickers in just the right spot on each egg.  She kept opening the eggs to check and see what was in them.  They were all empty.  She kept telling me  "No M&M's Momma" each time she opened the eggs!

 The finished product!
