Beautiful morning!

It is a beautiful morning here today!  We are taking full advantage of this beautiful weather.  Sage was up early and we went for a walk in the Town Hall Park.  It was 70 degrees this morning - perfect for a nice walk.  We came home and she took a short nap.  Such a short nap she is ready for nap #2 of the day!  Here she is after breakfast this morning.  I love her shirt it is from Reese's parents - thank you! 

Tubes

Sage had tubes put in her ears this morning and she is recovering nicely!  She did great at the hospital, we had to be there at 6:30am to get checked in and they took her back at 7:40am.  She was very curious of her surroundings and didn't seem to mind that she couldn't have her morning bottle.  The procedure was so quick!  Which was a huge relief to me that we could get back to her so quickly.  When I picked her up in the recovery room she was still a little bit groggy but took her bottle right away.  She perked right up after her bottle and was ready to go.  They told us she did great during the procedure and waking up as well.   I know they say it is harder on the parents than and the child and I think they are right.  Reese and I are both glad this procedure is behind us.  Sage is a bit clingy and she is napping for the second time since we got home, but she seems like herself.  We are hopeful that these tubes will stop her ear infections.  

 

  After we got home Sage went down for a nap and so did I.  She woke up very happy!

Activity Jumper

Sage has been loving her new activity jumper!   It is from our friends Kevin and Stephanie.  It was used by their daughter Sam.   This is her expression every time she is the activity jumper

Playing!

Sage and I were playing downstairs yesterday.  It was humid and hot out yesterday so she was in just her diaper most of the day.  She loves being in only her diaper!  She was playing with her stacking rings, one of her new favorite toys, thanks Nana!  She likes to take the rings off and chew on the base of the toy.  Our girl, chomping on everything.  We are just waiting for that day when her first tooth pops up. 

Laundry Basket

Reese and I were making our bed this afternoon and Sage was helping us.  We usually would put her on the bed with us, but instead she went in the empty laundry basket that was in our room.  As you can see she loved being in the laundry basket!

Bear Update

I was trying to get a picture of Sage by her bear.  She wasn't very cooperative for me to get the bear and her.  So this is the best I could get!  She was a very happy girl yesterday - she took two big naps and was happy all day long!

Sitting up

Well, I think we can officially say Sage is sitting up!  It is so fun to watch her change and she changes daily.  I am still close by when she is sitting up, she still has some balance issues.  We have had a few falls and she usually bounces right back and continues playing.

Seven Months!

I can't believe Sage is 7 months old today!  How the months have flown by.  Each month is more fun than the last.  Here are a few pictures from today.  Sage had some fun with her sign. 

Weekend fun!

We spent the last few nights at Kelly and Jason's.  It was so nice to spend time with them and we really appreciated them taking us in for a few nights.  It was nice to sleep in a cool house!  Sage had a ton of fun and enjoyed all the attention on her!  She especially had tons of fun with Jason in the pool.  Thanks Jason for taking Sage swimming.  This is the one picture I took all weekend it was right before we went to the pool.  Thanks again Kelly and Jason!

Holding her bottle!

Sage held her bottle by herself for the first time on Sunday.  Reese said he had been working with her on it!   It was fun to see her hold the bottle by herself, but it also made me a little sad that my baby girl is growing up and growing up fast!  Since Sunday she has held her bottle alot, but she seems to hold it more when her Daddy feeds her than when Mommy does!

Joys of Summer

I love watching these two interact.  This was the other night while I was making dinner.  It wasn't much of a dinner since we don't have air conditioning right now.   We are trying to use the grill instead of cooking inside.  The part we need for our air conditioning is on backorder and may not be here until mid-July.  Well sitting around in 90 degree hot summer days doesn't sound like fun to me!  So, we are looking at other options, that will of course cost more money!  Oh, the joys of Summer!  

UPDATE:  We are getting our A/C fixed on Monday!!   YEAH!!!!

Teething

We had a great dinner out on our last night at the Hubbard's. Sage was a handful at dinner.  She was really intrigued by my beer bottle.  She kept reaching for it every time I took a drink.  We all kept trying to keep her entertained - she really enjoyed chomping on Reese's fingers.  We think that her first tooth is going to pop up soon!

Lemons

We were at Reese's parents for Memorial Weekend.  We had a great time and enjoyed spending time at the Ranch.  While we were there we went out for a fabulous Mexican dinner.  Reese gave Sage her first taste of a lemon, as you can see she didn't seem to mind the lemon.  Reese made sure there were no seeds in the lemon before he gave it to her!

Sippy Cup

Sage tried out a sippy cup for the first time last week.  She put it right to her mouth.  Not sure if she knew what to do with the cup or if it is because everything goes in her mouth these days.
