Petting Zoo

A few weeks ago at Sage's school they had a petting zoo.  I got this picture texted to me from her teacher!  I thought she looked like she was having fun.  Until I talked to her teacher.  Sage was the only one that wouldn't ride the pony.  Maybe next time!

Teeth

Quinn has been chewing on anything she can get into her hands.  She has also been a drooling machine.  I wish these teeth would just come in!  It is usually this toy in the picture below that Quinn has been chewing on.  It was a favorite of Sage's when she was this age and Quinn loves it too!

Museum fun!

We went to the Children's Museum a few weeks ago with our playgroup.  What a fun day!   Quinn did really well and napped in the stroller. Quinn went on her first carousel ride and since Sage wouldn't go on a horse she sat next to us on the bench.  Love the times we spend with our playgroup.  Very lucky to have these special kids and their Momma's in our life.

Sage and Andrew - love this little man!

Carrots!

After seeing how much Quinn liked her oatmeal we had a feeling she would like food!   She definitely does!   She has liked everything we have fed her: carrots, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, peas, pears, apples, prunes, and bananas.  I have only bought two containers of baby food and have made all the rest.  I bought a thing of carrots to see what consistency I should make her food.  Then bought the prunes as well - poor kiddo needed a little help with her digestive system and the prunes worked!  I hope I stay on this track of making her food - so easy, so much cheaper and so healthy!  I bought these trays that make it so easy to freeze the food in one ounce servings then after they are frozen transfer them to ziploc bags.  I just pull out what I need for each day and let it thaw in the refrigerator.

Baseball Game

We went to a baseball game on Mother's Day.  It was a fun family day with a morning at church, then breakfast out, home for a quick nap for the girls and then downtown for the baseball game.  It was beautiful out nice and sunny, in the low 80's.  Our seats were even in the shade.  A perfect way to spend Mother's Day!

A family selfie - not bad!

The view from our seats - it is a great ballpark!

Cake

For Mother's Day Sage said she wanted to bake me a cake.  So Sage and Reese went to the store and bought a cake mix and frosting.  Sage wanted to buy me $6 princess sprinkles but Reese made her pick some sprinkles in the $2 range instead!  She was so excited to make the cake and had to start immediately after they got home from the store. She was so into the whole process from putting the ingredients into the bowl, stirring it up, frosting it and putting sprinkles ALL over the cake.  When the cake was cool enough to frost it Reese was outside mowing the lawn.  Sage couldn't wait to eat the cake so she and I frosted it.  Loved my cake!

Stroller Milestone

We went to the park a few weeks ago, Sage road her bike and I put Quinn in the stroller without her carseat!  A big milestone for Quinn!   She isn't quite sitting up on her own but when she is reclined in the stroller it is perfect.  I put it all the way down for the walk to the park and she took a nap.  Then when she woke up she got to sit up and look around.  She was loving it!  Poor Quinn while we were at the park I thought she was crying - nope her eyes were running from allergies.  Then on the way home Sage had the biggest tantrum yet - it was a fun morning!  I ended up having to push her bike and the stroller home = unhappy momma!  The joys of parenting a smart and headstrong girl.  So looking forward to the teen years!

More Easter

I found a few more pictures from Easter and two videos as well.  Sage was so cute looking for her basket and the eggs.  She was so excited for each and every egg.  Love the excitement she has for holidays!

Cereal

Right after Quinn turned 4 months we were in Texas for a week.  I decided to wait and try cereal with Quinn until we came home.  It was Easter Sunday and we had a yummy meal and I decided Quinn needed a meal too!   She was a little unsure at first but then she loved it!   Here are some pictures Reese took of her first bite.  I love her expressions as she realizes what is happening.

Here is a video from that day!  She loved her cereal and has been doing really well trying new foods.

Bottles

We are getting into a pretty good routine with Quinn.  She does love her bottles!  She usually will hold onto my hand when I am feeding her.  Sometimes she will hold onto one of my fingers with one had and hold onto the bottle with her other hand.  It is moments like these that I was to just bottle up and remember forever!

School Spring Program

Sage had her Spring Program at school - she was so excited to sing with her class.  She did a great job and sang and danced all through the song.  This was her last program at her school.  She will be switching school for next year for her Pre-Kindergarten class.  She seems so big, we have noticed a change in Sage since Quinn has arrived.  She has made the adjustment to being a big sister so well and we are so proud of her!

Up on stage!

Big Girl

Quinn is getting so big.  She loves to try and sit up on her own. I think she has stronger core muscles than me!   I have a feeling this girl will be sitting up by herself soon!

Exersaucer

I put Quinn in the exersaucer a few weeks ago and she loved it!  I think she likes that she can manipulate the toys by herself.  And she has freedom to move around all by herself.  She is getting so big!

Easter Dress

A few weeks ago while Sage was in school, Quinn and I were out shopping.  I bought a really cute Easter dress for Sage for next Easter.  I am always looking for a good deal!  I brought it home and she loved it!  I put it at the top of the stairs to put it away and when I came up to check on Sage while she was napping - I found this!   I think she likes the dress - it is just a little too big!  Sound asleep in her new dress.

Quinn & Mommy

I don't have to many good pictures of Quinn and I together since I am the one usually taking the pictures.  I thought this one was good enough to share!

Zoo Trip

At the end of April we went to the zoo for the day.  It was Quinn's first trip to the zoo.  We had a great day there.  I packed a lunch and we spent the morning and a most of the afternoon at the zoo.

All of us on the train!

Sage riding the carousel for the first time by herself.  She loved it!

Easter Fun

We had a great Easter as a family!   We got up and Sage had her egg hunt.  She had so much fun finding all the eggs and her and Quinn's Easter baskets.  We went to church and then went and had breakfast.  I made ham that night for dinner and Sage loved it - said it is her new favorite food!

The Easter Bunny brought Sage some special jelly beans that turn into a lollipop.  She had fun planting the jelly beans and picking the lollipop the next morning.

4 Months

At least I took the 4 month picture when Quinn was 4 months even though I am posting it when she is 5 months.  Looking back at pictures over the fourth month Quinn really started to change she filled out and she got those cute cheeks!  She weighed 14lbs, 14oz (75%) and was 25.5 (90%) inches long at her 4 month check up.

It was a busy month Quinn went to her first wedding, found her feet, and started grabbing at toys!  She is giggling at things and loves to chat.  She really watches Sage and I can't wait for them to interact more.  She became so much more aware of who and what was around her. Love to see all these changes!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hard to believe this is my fifth Mother's Day!  I always knew I wanted to be a Mom and I am so fortunate that I am.  So glad that I get to spend the day with Reese and our girls.  The only thing better would be spending the day with my Mom!   Happy Mother's Day!

This was my gift from Sage.  Shae made it at school, on the pot there is a picture of her and a drawing that she did!

Happy Birthday Corvin!

Today Corvin turns 7!   Happy Birthday Buddy!   We hope you have a great day.  I can't believe you  are seven - the years have flown by.  I remember the day you were born and how excited I was to be an Aunt!

This is the most recent picture I have of Corvin playing
games at Sage's 4th birthday party.

Fun at the Ranch

Next up was a week at the Ranch with Mimi, Pop-Pop, Uncle Russ, Sloan and Finn.  We had a great time seeing everybody!  The cousins all had fun playing and driving the John Deere tractor and gator.  It was a lesson in patience as there are three kids to drive the tractor and gator but only two vehicles to drive.

Here is Finn waiting on the big Gator to go drive the little one.

The kids all got new cowboy boots!  They had to be worn as soon as they got back to the ranch.   They didn't have Sage's size at the first store.  So we had to go to two more stores to find her size and they had to have sparkles on them!

Grabbing toys

It is so fun to watch Quinn as she reaches a new developmental milestone.  This was back on April 9th and she was laying on her playmat and for the first time grabbed on to the toys hanging above her.  She was so pleased with herself!

Hanging out!

I try to send Reese pictures of the girls while he is working.  Some weeks I am better than others.  This was one I got of Quinn just hanging out!
