Bounce House!

Sunday afternoon we were getting ready to go run some errands when our neighbor, Matt, stopped by.  He wanted to invite Sage over to jump in the bounce house they had rented for their son Whitley's birthday.  They asked Sage to come jump before the party started so she could have fun jumping and not have to worry about all the other kids.  She had a blast - thanks guys!  Needless to say she wasn't very happy when we had to leave.  She took a really good nap after all that bouncing!

Disney on the computer

Sage has three shows that she watches:  Word World on PBS and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einsteins on Disney.   She gets to watch two shows a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.   She will tell you which one she wants and if you choose the wrong one - watch out - she lets you know you made a mistake!   Well, she recently found out that these shows also have websites.  We were keeping Sage occupied before bedtime on Friday night and Reese pulled up the Disney website.  As you can see in the pictures below Sage was fascinated.  She didn't want to go take her bath she was so into it!

Grateful...

Grateful for the amazing heart surgeon and staff that was on call two years ago today.

Grateful that Melissa & Patty were with me during those first hours of chaos

Grateful that our families dropped everything and rushed to be here and help us through

Grateful for the family and friends who have been there for us these last two years

Grateful that I get to see these two interact each and every day

Grateful for each day we have as a family

Grateful for this experience to make me realize that each day is a gift and to not take anything for granted

Grateful that I can be there for one of my best friends as she is going through a similar situation and know that I can help her through it. 

But most of all I am:  Grateful to Reese for his love for me and his love for our family.

Sucker

Sage and I went to the bank yesterday and it was the highlight of the day for Sage.  She got a sucker while we were at the bank.  She was enjoying it so much I had to get it on video.  Happy Saturday!

Texas - John Deere

Sage liked the John Deere tractor inside, little did she know that there was a bigger John Deere Tractor outside and a John Deere Gator to!   Oh, what fun she had - we had about 75 pictures of her playing on these toys and it was hard to pick my favorites.  We all had fun watching her pure enjoyment on these toys.  She was able to ride both - but needed a little help with the steering.   Next trip she will be all over the ranch with these toys.

Texas - Fun

We always have fun at the Ranch and this trip was no exception!   Here is Sage enjoying a few Ranch activities!

 Playing with Mimi's collection of watches and purses kept Sage entertained for quite awhile.

Comparing her feet to Pop-Pop's feet was fun for us all!

Texas - Feeding the Cows

We went out to feed the cows and Sage came along.   She was very excited to ride in the gator - or drive the gator.  She had such a big grin on her face when she sat with Reese and helped him drive.  She thought the cows were pretty cool too!

Texas - The Pool

It was very hot while we were in Texas and we used the pool almost everyday.  Swimming took place before 9am and after 6pm.  Sage had lots of fun in the pool - thanks Mimi and Pop-Pop for all the pool toys for Sage.

The most fun was when Daddy threw Sage up in the air, she loved it!  I think we need to get her into some swimming lessons.

Texas - Piano

While we were in Texas Sage had lots of fun playing the Piano with Mimi.  She looks like she is concentrating so hard in the second picture - I love it!   If she has any musical ability it definitely doesn't come from us - I bet is is from Mimi!

Texas - Relaxing & Sam Moon

Whenever we are at the Ranch we always get to relax - it is wonderful!   Sage even got into the relaxing with Pop-Pop as she watched Mickey Mouse.

 Here is Sage opening presents from Mimi from our Sam Moon shopping expedition.  Sage got a new purse and a bunch of bracelets!   Sam Moon is this amazing accessories store - with very reasonable prices.  Lots of fun every time we go to Sam Moon.  I even got Sage a backpack for school!

Texas - Arrival

We went to see Reese's parents a few weeks ago and had a great trip.  I just went through and picked out my favorite pictures to put in blog posts.  There are alot of favorites so there will be lots of blog posts.  Here we go!

Mom's Night Out

Friday night was a Mom's night out!   We had a great time and it was nice to be out with such wonderful friends.  I have missed the last two nights out and was glad that I was able to go out.    Thanks ladies for a great night!  We were celebrating Megan and the impending arrival of her second baby!

Violet

Sage slept in until 8:30 this morning - almost two hours later than most days.  I felt like I was off schedule all day!   I even slept in until 8:00 - fabulous!!!   We went to the gym and grocery shopping and played at home.  She had lots of fun with Violet today - she even had to take Violet to bed with her during her nap.

Blankets

Sage has been really into blankets lately.  She likes to sit in her little pink chair and snuggle up with a blanket - it is too cute!   I know it is the middle of summer and you usually don't need a blanket in the summer.  But last week we had beautiful weather with our windows open and no A/C on - it was wonderful!   We would wake up in the morning to a crisp 65 degrees - and Sage would get in her chair with her blanket.  I didn't get any pictures in her chair - but I did get a few pictures the other night while she was sitting on our living room couch.

Napping...

We are trying to make the transition from two naps to one and it isn't going very well.  Sage was usually very good at her two naps.  She took two 1.5 hour naps, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.   Recently she has been taking her morning nap and then will play in her crib for her afternoon nap.  Now she is doing one nap after an early lunch and being a grumpy girl before her nap and then a grumpy girl after she gets up.  I hope we get thorough this stage quickly - I don't like having a grumpy girl - it makes for a grumpy Momma!   Needless to say with Sage not being very happy we have to find lots of activities to keep her occupied.  I did find that coloring and playing with stickers makes her a little happy.  So we colored today and she loved it!

Reading

We got back from visiting Reese's parents Tuesday evening and it has been a busy week!   I haven't had a chance to blog and I have lots of fun pictures to share.  But that means going through all the pictures and taking the time to pick my favorites - we took way to many pictures!   So here are a few pictures from before we left.  This is Sage's new favorite spot to read with Reese.  They both seem to enjoy it!  She has to have her own pillow when they read like this - thanks Nana for making Sage her pillowcases!

New Bow!

Sage's hair is getting long and I have been looking for some new bows for her and found some today!   She looks too cute in her new bow and I had to get a few pics.  She was having a snack this evening and was having a great time at the table.  Such a little personality she has!
