Teeth!

Quinn finally got her first tooth on Thursday, June 17th!!   I was so on top of things I didn't even notice until the tooth had already popped all the way through.  Poor kiddo no wonder she was a little cranky for a few days - she was hurting. This was the meal that I realized she had a tooth.  She was chomping away on her sippy cup!  I also gave her chunks of strawberry and avocado for the first time at this meal.  She was loving the food. 

Drums!

A few weeks ago we went to the Rhythm Center with Bev, Case, and Ty.  Sage loved it!  She ran around with the boys and they all were playing drums, making music and being loud - perfect place for kids!   I put Quinn in the Ergo front pack baby carrier and she even took a nap!  After the rhythm center we went to lunch and then went home.  It was a great morning with good friends!

Done with PT

Sage is officially done with Physical Therapy!  She had her last appointment on the 15th.  She has reached the full flexibility that is needed and did all the exercises that Miss Anne asked her to do.  She still will walk on her toes but it is more of a habit that needs to be broken.  We are hoping with ballet classes she will realize when she is on her toes and know that dance class is the only time to be on her toes!  She got to pick out a prize on her last day of PT.  She picked a bag of army men.  Miss Anne said she was surprised because the prize closet is filled with princess, and girl stuff but she wanted the army men.  She has been playing with the army men a ton - and loves them!

Family Day!

I had to go pick up some cupcakes for a girls night and the store is about 30 minutes away.  We decided to make a family day of it.  The cupcake store is in a really cute area with a fun downtown.  We went out to lunch and walked a little bit - it was raining!   Then we headed to the cupcake store.  We all enjoyed some yummy treats!

The Park

It has been beautiful weather here, nice but not hot!  We have been trying to take advantage of this  weather.  We went to the park and had lunch outside last week.  Sage had a great time playing in the park, we went on a nature trail for a hike and also did the story walk.   The story walk is new to the park and it is a partnership with the local library.  Pages of a book are put on platforms along the trail so as you walk along you can read the book.  Sage loved it!

So lucky that I get to spend each day with these two beautiful girls!

Sensory Box

Last week Sage asked me to get down the box of rice to play with.  The little toys I had to go in it were in Quinn's room and she was napping.  So I went around the kitchen to find a few things for her to play with.  She loved it!  She took it outside and played on the patio for the entire time Quinn was napping.

Sitting up!

This girl is officially sitting up by herself!   She sometimes forgets and throws herself backwards.  She doesn't like the end result then and we are hoping she will stop that soon.  She is such a happy girl!

Princess Dance Camp

We had another dance camp for Sage to go to when we got back from Michigan.  She was really excited to go, there were three of her friends in the class with her.  They did a little program for the parents at the end of the camp.  I was the last parent that got back to the class - I was still on time but the dance teacher was going to start early.  That is the only reason I can think of that Sage had covered her face with her dress because I wasn't there to see her show.  Luckily I got there before it started and was able to give Rebecca my phone to get some good pictures.  We have signed Sage up for weekly ballet classes starting in early August.  She is really excited!

Does the shoe fit?

We have lots of princess dress-up clothes, shoes and jewelry in our house.  Sage plays with it all the time.  A few weeks ago she thought Quinn should play with her too.  She kept trying to get Quinn to wear a pair of her dress-up shoes.  It was so cute.  She kept trying and trying to get it to stay on Quinn's foot!  Quinn was more than happy to play along!

4th of July!

It was such a wonderful 4th!  The only thing missing was Reese.  We went to see our family and had a really good day.  It started off with a parade.  I think the parade was Sage's favorite part of the day.  They threw candy, confetti, and necklaces!  She was in heaven.

After the parade we went out to Grandpa's cottage.  It was a beautiful sunny day.  The kids played in the water, went for a boat ride and played.  They played hard all day.  This is the only picture I took at the cottage, Aunt Terri, Quinn and Grandpa.  I love it!  It was a busy day and I must have forgotten to take any more pictures.  We were just having way to much fun!  We left the cottage after dinner to go back to my parents.  We stopped at Aunt Jane and Uncle Gene's on the way home.  Quinn was so tired and wouldn't fall asleep - instead she screamed for a half hour.  Got her home and she went right to sleep.  We ended up doing a few fireworks with Sage and she finally went to bed around 10pm!   It was a long but good day. 

Holding hands!

This was one of the pictures I took while we were up north to send to Reese.  We were gone for two weeks.  It was a long time for all of us - we were glad to be back together!  Love that they are holding hands in the picture. 

Cousins!

These kids had lots of fun together up north.  Here they are at the end of the day watching a show together.

Food

Quinn is still doing great with food!   She has been loving all the things we have introduced to her.  The only ones that have to be mixed with something else are strawberries and raspberries.  I usually add pears or apples to those and she is good to go!   Here she is up north getting ready to eat.   So nice that Nana has a booster seat up there - one less thing to bring!

Throwing Rocks!

While we were up north we went to a local park that is right on the water.  The kids were more interested in throwing rocks in the water than playing at the playground.  They had so much fun!

Exersaucer

While we were up north Quinn was able to use an exersaucer that we had borrowed from our friend Alicia.  It was so nice to have it there for her and not have to haul one from our house.  As you can see - she loved it!

Haircut!

We were up at my parents for two weeks, the last week of June and the first week of July.  It was just the girls and I, as Reese was traveling for work.  We got our hair cut while we were up north.  Sage did so good!   Last year she had to sit on my lap - not this year!  Here she is being such a big girl!   Her favorite part was sitting under the hair dryer!

Sprinkler

Sage finally loves running through the sprinkler!  She was out playing and Reese had to water the garden.  She took full advantage and started running through the sprinkler.  She was so excited that she got to be in her clothes and not her swimsuit.  It was like she was getting away with something.  The simple joys!

Outside!

This picture was taken on Reese's birthday!  We had gone out for an early dinner and when we got home the girls were outside with the babysitter.  It was a beautiful night out!  Love how happy they are in this picture.

Favorite!

This is one of my favorite picture of these two!   I was feeding Quinn breakfast and Sage wanted to help.  They looked so cute I snapped a picture.  I love it!   I look at this and can't believe how big they both are - time is flying!
