Dance is over!

Sage really enjoyed her dance class!  We were both sad to see it end.  During her last class they put on a little show for the parents.  They showcased what they had learned during the ballet, jazz and tap classes.  Reese got to come see the last class and Sage was so excited to have him there watching,

Braids

Lately when I go to do Sage's hair she says that she wants a braid like Anna and Elsa from Frozen.  I try to get her braids as she asks - but apparently not as close as she likes them!  She loves Frozen and it is her go to show to watch right now.  Wonder how long it will stay her favorite?  We were at the car dealership getting the oil changed in the van and she looked to cute I snapped her picture!

Getting Big

This girl is getting so big and the time is flying by way to fast.  Last week we switched her into size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothes.  Those feel like big milestones to me and they feel like they are happening way to quickly!

Sleepy Sage

We have had a hard time putting Sage to bed the last few weeks.  She has still been napping and then isn't tired at night.  So we are slowly transitioning to no nap.  She still has quiet time and will sometimes fall asleep.  But for the most part she stays awake during quiet time.   This past week we went and met Reese for lunch and ran a few errands.  About 15 minutes before we got home she fell asleep.  She NEVER sleeps in the car.  I had to snap a picture of her.  I drove around for a little while hoping she would sleep longer - nope!  She slept 30 minutes and was ready to go!

90%

Her smiles and her spiky hair get me every time.  I could stare at her for hours!  Love this precious girl!   This is how you see Quinn about 90% of the time - smiling.  She cries when she is hungry or tired.  We are so lucky to have this little one!

Dressing Up

I am not sure if Sage is ever going to get tired of dressing up.  She loves to play dress up.  This was after church last week.   She wanted to be a pirate.  She looks like a pretty cute pirate to me!

Hi Ho! Cherry-O

Sage got a new game for St. Patrick's Day - Hi Ho! Cheery-O!   She had played it over at Andrew's house and loved it.  She was very excited to open the present and had to play the game immediately.  She talked Daddy and Pop-Pop into playing with her.  She was having lots of fun until Pop-Pop and Daddy kept winning.  She wanted to win!  She asked Pop-Pop if he was about done playing?  Later in the week she played against me and won twice she had to call Mimi and Pop-Pop to tell them that she had won!  Wonder where she gets her competitive streak???

She also got this new headband and
was very excited that it was all sparkly!

Meeting Mimi and Pop-Pop

Quinn got to meet Mimi and Pop-Pop over the weekend.  It was great to see them and I know they enjoyed meeting Quinn.  Would have been a little better I'm sure if they could have held her a little more.  She was a bit particular and wanted only Mom or Dad.  We still enjoyed their visit!

Naked!

This girl loves to be naked!   She kicks her legs all over, moves her arms as fast as she can and just giggles!   It is so cute to watch her.  She also loves to have her diaper changed.  This was one night last week before her bath - don't mind the overly full diaper no sense changing it as she was just going to get into the tub. Her legs and arms are a blur as she was moving them all over!

Happy Birthday Pop-Pop!

We had lots of fun with Mimi and Pop-Pop here over the weekend.  Sage was so excited to be able to give Pop-Pop his birthday card in person!   She signed her name and Quinn's!  We hope you have a great day Pop-Pop!   Happy Birthday!

Relaxing Day

We had a very relaxing day at home on Wednesday.  It was snowy and cold so we stayed home all day!  This picture was taken after the girls woke up from their naps.

Cousins!

This past weekend we met Shelley, Tyler, and the boys halfway between our houses and stayed Saturday night in a hotel.  The kids were so excited to see each other.  I was pretty excited to see them too.  Sage had only seen Aunt Shelley once since the tornado and I had seen them all briefly at Thanksgiving and then when Shelley came over when Quinn was born.  So fun to see the kids together - they act like siblings and not cousins.  Love it!

This is the first picture of all five of them together.  As soon as I picked Quinn up she fell alseep in my arms.

The Pigeon

We are back at the library for story time in March.  Sage loves it and so do I!   Last week she made this pigeon.   It is a fun time for her and I get a little break:  Win/Win!

Lunch Date

Yesterday we had a lunch date with Sharon.  Sage was so excited to see Sharon and so was I!  Sage chose the location - Big Apple Bagels.  Sharon took this picture of Quinn and I.  Had to share it since I don't get many pictures with my girls!

Sisters!

I love watching these two interact!   Sage loves to hold, kiss, and talk to Quinn.  It is fun to watch Quinn try to respond to Sage.  Quinn was fussy the other day and I put her on the blanket to have some alone time!   Sage had to join her - they both enjoyed it!  Love these two sooooo much!

Cavities

A few weeks ago Sage was complaining about a tooth hurting.  It lasted for a few days so I called the dentist to go have it looked at.  It turns out she had a cavity between her molars on both sides.  They were so deep that the dentist wanted to put a filling on each and then put sealants on the rest of her molars.  Sage has been going to the dentist since she was 12 months old.  She is is not a fan of the dentist and it would have taken at least 4 appointments in the office and us probably having to hold her down to go that route.  We decided to go another route - a one appointment deal - but she had to be put under general anesthesia.  It was not an ideal situation and we felt terrible.  We brush her teeth twice a day but we weren't as good about flossing.  I did tons of research about the procedure, talked to our dentist, emailed a friend who is a dentist, talked to two family friends that are are in the dental field.  It all led us to the fact that this was the best path to take for Sage.

She did so good.  We told her that the dentist was going to fix her teeth while she took a nap.  She couldn't have anything to eat or drink the morning of the procedure.  She did great!  We got there and she was full of questions.  We told her they would put a mask on her and then she would fall asleep.  She was excited to hear that the mask was pink!  There were a few tears after they took her away and those were from me.  But she did amazing!  So from now on there are no sticky foods - gummy bears, fruit snacks, gum, etc.   She is handling this really well and knows she can't have that stuff because it is bad for her teeth.  So proud of her and how she has handled this situation.

This was right after she came out.  She was still sleeping and was pretty groggy when she woke up.

After a nap at home she was ready to eat.  She could only have soft foods that day.  She was loving all the ice cream, pudding and cheese.  Don't worry we brushed her teeth that day - lots!

New scissors

Sage has been using her scissors lots for cutting practice.  They did some cutting practice at school and now she wants to cut all the time at home.  The scissors we had only cut paper.  She was getting a little frustrated with them.  So off we went to Joann's last week and found her a new pair of scissors.  She has been cutting away with those new scissors!

Take note of her outfit - she picked it out that day.
Our very colorful girl!

Bike Ride

Here is a video of Sage riding her bike last weekend.  I see lots of bike rides in our future!
