Capsules

I found some sponge capsules in my Christmas stuff.  You put them in warm water and then the gel capsule dissolves and a sponge starts to take shape.  These were all Christmas theme ones!   She loved them and so did Sage!

Christmas Party II

The same day we had Sage's Christmas party we had one at Quinn's class.  When we walked in they had reindeer antlers for the kids to wear.  Quinn only had hers on for about 2 minutes.  Just long enough for me to snap a few cute pictures.  We did a really fun Christmas plate with her handprint on it.  Quinn was not a fan of having her hand covered in paint to make the handprint on the plate.  We then did crafts and had circle time.  It was a fun party!

Quinn and her friend Lukas from class!

She was loving the crafts!

Christmas party at school

I was able to go to school for Sage's Christmas party!  It was lots of fun!  They decorated gingerbread houses, had cookie, made crafts and sang a song for us!  They even had a gingerbread house for Quinn to decorate.  It was a fun party, we did have to leave a little early as Quinn was ready to go!

Another present!

Quinn got another birthday present in the mail, this one from Mimi and Pop-Pop.  As you can see -  she had fun opening her present!

Sage's Gingerbread House

Sage got to do her gingerbread house a few nights after Quinn did hers.  She was really into it this year!  She was very excited to pipe her own icing and put the candy on all by herself!

Turned Around

This girl got turned around in her carseat and is now facing forward.  She giggled a little bit when she got in the car the first time but that is all the reaction we got!   I thought she would be more excited to sit facing forward.  She did however really like driving around to see Christmas lights for the first time after she was turned around.  She kept yelling "lights" each time we saw a house with Christmas lights on!

Christmas Cookies

These girls were very excited to try the first batch of Christmas cookies I made.  I made 3 different cookies this year, we only have a few left!

These cookies have a hershey kiss in the middle and Quinn went straight for the chocolate and popped the whole kiss in her mouth.  Smart girl goes for the chocolate first!

Baking with Quinn

We made lots of Christmas cookies this season and it was Quinn's first time baking with Mommy!  She loved it as you can see from that big smile in the picture below!  Her favorite part was turning on the mixer and then turning it up fast!

Letter to Santa

We were finally able to mail out Sage's letter to Santa.  She had written the letter and then it was pouring rain for days!  One afternoon after school it wasn't raining and we got to mail her letter!

Playing with Friends

We were supposed to go to an indoor playground on Quinn's birthday.  Since she was sick we had to postpone.  We went the next week with one of her friends and they played until they were tuckered out!
On her first few visits Quinn couldn't walk across this bridge.
She can now!

Snack time!

Chippy was back!

Our elf Chippy was back again for the Christmas season.  Here are my two favorite things Chippy did this year!

Gingerbread House - Round 1

We got a set of four mini gingerbread houses for the girls to decorate this year.  Sage asked for her own house so she and Quinn could each do their own - wonder why???  The night we planned on doing the houses Sage wasn't listening so she didn't get to do hers.  She did later that week and those pictures will be posted later!  Quinn loved it and as you can see in a picture below - she ate a few of the decorations.  She really had fun decorating her house!

The finished product!

Sage's Santa Letter

Sage had so much fun writing her letter to Santa.  I had to snap a few pictures before we mailed it off to the North Pole!

Christmas Train

We went on a train ride to see Christmas lights a few weeks ago.  We all had so much fun.  We were on the 5:00pm departure so it was still light out when we departed.  It was a 40 minute train ride and the girls did great!  Halfway through the ride it was dark and the lights were amazing!  Sage really loved it and was so excited at each light display.  I see us definitely going again in the future.
 Our ride had arrived!

Quinn's Birthday Celebration

Quinn was sick on her birthday - she was up in the middle of the night with a 102 fever.  Poor kiddo!  Both our girls were sick on their birthdays.  We had a fun day planned and all that got cancelled and she and I relaxed and cuddled on the couch for lots of shows.  She did seem ok when she had medicine in her system.  But you could tell she wasn't herself.  That morning she noticed the cake I had made for her and she kept asking for cake!   I finally gave in and let her have a piece with a Happy Birthday song as well and some candles to blow out!  We had Sage's Parent/Teacher Conference that night.  So Reese stayed home with the girls and I went to the conference.  Before I went to the conference Quinn opened her presents!  She loves the new vacuum from Aunt Terri and Uncle Nick!   She has been riding her scooter around the house that she got from Nana and Papa!  The pictures of her opening a present below are an adorable new outfit from Aunt Sandy and Uncle Al.
Our 2 year old looking so cute!

Her new vacuum even came with a dust buster.

Helping Reese put the scooter together.

Loving her new scooter!

Here is a video of Quinn blowing out her birthday candles!  This was in the morning with me and she also blew out candles with Reese that night when I was at Sage's teacher conference.

Cookie Cutter

Sage usually asks for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch each day.  I try to keep it interesting for her and cut it into fun shapes.  A few weeks ago Quinn and I were shopping in downtown and found a store that sells all Michigan made products.  We saw this cookie cutter and I knew Sage would love it!

Christmas Books

We are back to pictures from before Christmas!   I was trying to get all my blogs done and scheduled ahead of time but things just kept getting in the way.  So we will be a little out of order with a few Christmas pictures in the last few posts.  And here we go!  Aunt Sandy and Uncle Al sent the girls Christmas books and they loved them!  I have a big basket I put out downstairs at Christmas time and put all our Christmas books in it.  We loved having two more books to add to our collection.
