All by Herself!

We had a busy week last week - lots of stuff going on that Quinn was dragged to.  I wanted her to have some fun so we went to an indoor playground.  She ran all over the place and for the first time - all by herself!  I didn't have to climb up and help her, she was all good on her own.  She is getting so big!

Halfway through playing I called her over and put her hair in a ponytail.  She was so hot and her cheeks were bright red.  She kept right on playing!

Pirate Quinn

The girls love these red bandanas they got at a birthday party.  Ever since the party we have had pirates running around our house!  Quinn wanted Daddy to play pirates one night last week.  It was so cute I had to get a few pics!

T-Ball

Sage started T-Ball and she likes it!   She is participating and seems to enjoy it much more than when she played soccer!  She was very excited to get all her equipment for T-Ball.  All we need to get her is her own helmet and she will be good to go. She has two practices a week and then when the games start soon she will only have two games a week and no practices.

Nice Weather

Spring is finally here and two weekends ago it was beautiful!  High 70's and sunshine - I even had to dig around and find our sunscreen!  Saturday morning we went for a family walk!  Sage rode her bike, Reese and I walked, and Quinn rode in her car for most of the walk.  She insisted on getting out and walking but then got back in her car because she was tired.  When we got home we all loaded up in the car and went to a coffee shop for a treat.  They have a huge patio and it was so nice to sit outside in the sun!  After coffee we went home and the girls played outside and Reese and I cleaned our cars.  It was a very productive day!

Princess Tea Party

Sage and I went to a Princess Tea Party at church a few weeks ago.  It was a really fun afternoon.  When I first heard about the Princess Tea Party I knew Sage would love it and I volunteered to help with the event. I ended up working on the Silent Auction.  It was fun going around to local businesses and asking for donations.  The entire event was a hit!  The auction went well and the tea party was a huge hit with Sage.  She loved all the little snacks that were served and liked the tea.  They had a salon where she got her hair done, nails painted and her face painted.  There was a craft room with fairy crafts, a photo booth and even human candyland - that was my favorite.  It was really fun spending the afternoon with just Sage at such a special event!
Getting glitter sprayed in her hair!

Playing human candyland - so much fun!

She really liked her raspberry tea and asked if
she can have tea at home now!

The tables were set so pretty!  Real china for the
cups, plate and teapots.

Do-rag

Sage has been loving her bandanna from the birthday party a few weeks ago.  Her favorite is when Reese puts on her as a do-rag and she runs around acting like a pirate!

Cuddles

After brunch we came home and put the fire on.  We had gotten over an inch of snow while we were at brunch.  We were all cold and needed to warm up!  The girls were so cute cuddling by the fire.

Brunch!

We went to brunch a few weeks ago to end our Spring Break. We went with Fred, Julie, and Freddie.  While we were waiting for them I took a few pictures.  We had a great time as usual!  Who wouldn't like unlimited mimosa's!  We all came home and took a nap.

We have been working on colors with Quinn and recently got this puzzle.  She loves it but every color we ask her is green.  Working on it!

Quinn's First Friend Birthday Party

We went to a birthday party last weekend.  It was for Quinn's friend Lukas.  It was her first friend birthday party!  It was a train theme and it was so much fun!  There was a train set up with boxes and each kid got to decorate their train car and then they went to Baggage Claim to get a conductor hat, bandanna and train whistle.  They all then got in their train cars for a picture.  we all enjoyed the party!

The birthday train - I couldn't quite get all of Sage in the picture!

Quinn really liked the engine!

Quinn wouldn't put the hat on at first - but she finally wore it.

Enjoying the birthday cupcakes and ice cream!

Sunglasses

I realized the first morning at the ranch that I had forgotten Quinn's tennis shoes.  She had worn her cowboy boots to the airport and they looked so cute!   But we knew she would need some tennis shoes to have some fun at the ranch.  So the next morning Reese and I took Quinn to get some tennis shoes.  On the way to the store she found a pair of Mimi's sunglasses in the car.  They fit Quinn just right when she put them on upside down!

Chickens & Turkeys

While at the Ranch we got to go with Gwen to feed the chickens & turkeys and gather the eggs.  Sage walked in with Gwen and Reese carried Quinn in.  The egss were still warm when they brought them out.  There was one Tom Turkey and he had his feathers all puffed out!  He was very pretty and very loud!  Both girls loved seeing the animals and getting the eggs.  I think their favorite part was when Gwen brought a turkey out so they could pet her.  She was very soft.

Love this pic of them holding hands and Sage was so excited!

While at the Ranch there were lots of ride on the big John Deere Gator as well as the little one.  Quinn loved sitting up front like a big girl and Sage loved sitting in the back with Pop-Pop!

Kid sized Gators

At the ranch there are kid sized gators to ride around.  Sage looks forward to these every visit and this was the first time Quinn got to ride them!  Well they both got on the gator and were riding around the circular driveway.  As they came around the first bend in the driveway Quinn fell out.  I had run into the house to grab something and when I came out Quinn was standing there screaming.  She had two big scrapes on her chin, blood in her mouth and dirt all over her.   Poor Kiddo.  After that she held on tight for each ride.  After Reese got the small tractor ready Quinn drove that.  She still needs a little help with steering but by the end of the week she was doing pretty good.

Salsa

We went out for Mexican while we were at the ranch and it was a great dinner!  Quinn was loving the chips and salsa.  I think she ate more of the chips and salsa than her dinner.   She did end up spilling salsa all over the floor - oops!  Good thing they brought her out another bowl!

Petting Zoo

We went to a petting zoo with Mimi and Pop-Pop.  The girls had so much fun.  We got to see a bunch of animals:  lemurs, horses, camels, goats, parrots and bears!  Each of the girls even got to ride a pony.  This was a BIG deal for Sage.  This was the first time she wasn't scared to ride a pony and she did great!  We were so proud of her!  The previous time she had asked to ride a pony she had gotten scared and Quinn went instead.  But not this time they both went!  They both loved when they got to feed and pet the goats.

Spring Break!

We got a great deal on flights to go see Mimi and Pop-Pop for Spring Break.  We were all excited for the visit but especially the girls!  Our flight was supposed to leave at 4:25pm and it was delayed until 5:15pm.  The girls were very anxious to get on the plane.  Quinn wandered over to the window trying to get a look at an "airplane"  She kept saying it over and over again!  They both were pretty good waiting for us to board.  We finally got settled on the plane after Sage had a meltdown because she wanted a window seat.  After that flight trip went great!

Spring is here!

One day last week after we got Sage from the bus we came home and played outside.  It was a beautiful sunny day in the high 40's.  Both girls were loving it!  They ran around the yard, played on the playset and were so excited to be outside!

This girl has been loving her dance class, they do ballet and tap in each class.  The recital is coming up at the end of May.  She is very excited to wear her new costume.  But for now she likes to wear her legwarmers to dance class!

Easter Morning

The kids got up Easter morning and gathered up all the eggs the Easter Bunny had hidden in the house.  They all loved their Easter baskets and had fun going trough them to see what was inside.  We left for home that morning and the rest of the family went to church.  It was a great weekend with family!   Thanks Shelley and Tyler!  We love the house and can't wait to come back!
