Snow White Dress

We had a very nice Thanksgiving, Mimi and Pop-Pop were visiting.  Sage had so much fun with her grandparents.  They brought her birthday presents and she was so excited.  They got her a pillow pet that is also a night light.  It projects stars all over her ceiling and she loves it!  It has different colors but Sage prefers blue!  They also brought her walkie talkies, binoculars and a Snow White dress.  She is still getting the hang of the walkie talkies, and she loves the binoculars even when she uses the wrong end.  It took her a day to try on the Snow White dress and she looks so cute in it!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from our little Pilgrim!  Last week when I picked Sage up from school she was wearing this, doesn't she look adorable!  I had her put it on for Reese when he got home that night - he loved it too.

Painted fingernails

Warning: This post may be TMI for some of you!  Sage has been doing really good with potty-training.  She still wears a diaper during her nap and overnight.  She usually wakes up dry from her nap and in the morning.  But she hasn't been pooping in the potty.  We have been trying to figure out how to get her to go in the potty.  We found out that bribery works - Sage has been wanting her fingernails painted.  Our friend Jen told her she would paint her nails for her if she would go poop in the potty.  What a good friend!!!  Well Thursday night Sage finally did.  We had to call Jen right away.  We went over to Jen's Friday morning and Sage picked out blue nail polish with sparkles!  She kept looking at her fingers all day - and kept saying she couldn't wait to show Daddy when he got home.  Whatever it takes, I guess!

Jen and Sage - I think Sage smiled the entire time!

She was so good and sat so still while Jen painted her nails.

Here are the sparkly blue nails!

Painting with wine corks

I saw this project idea on Pinterest: painting with wine corks.  We all know there is definitely a supply of wine corks in this household!  I even sent home a bag of corks with two friends from baby jam on Wednesday.  We had plenty to spare!  I got all the stuff together for this project while Sage was taking her nap on Friday afternoon.  When she got up she was excited for a new project.  She wasn't too sure of the wine corks at first but she seemed to enjoy it.

The finished product - I wanted her to hold it up for the camera but she said No!

Sage's Birthday

We had lots of fun on Sage's birthday.  She was so excited when she woke up that it was her birthday!  Reese and I had blown up some balloons for her - they were waiting for her in our room.  She said the balloons were her favorite part of the day.  Reese left early for work so as soon as Sage got up we called him and she opened presents with him on the phone.  Then she watched her favorite show and then we came down for breakfast.  After breakfast her friends arrived for playgroup.  We finished the day off with Daddy being home for dinner and some ice cream.

This was the Memory Keeper we got her, she won't enjoy it much now.  But when it is filled with memories from over the years I am sure she will be glad she has it!

I thought she was going to dive right into the bag!

She was so excited for this ice cream set.

Chasing the balloons around our room.

She said she wanted muffins for her birthday breakfast.  So Sage and I made these pumpkin chocolate chip muffins the night before her birthday.  She loves to bake with me!

She was pretty proud of herself for blowing out her candles.

Princess dress

Sage got this princess dress from Aunt Faith, Sloan and Finn for her birthday.  She was so excited to open the package when it arrived and when she found this dress inside she had to put it on immediately.   She looks so cute!

Fall projects

We have been so busy the last few weeks we haven't been doing as many projects.  On Monday this week we did two!  We had two little pumpkins leftover from Halloween and I knew Sage would have fun painting one.  She loved it!  We got her apron out, she picked out her paint colors and then she had to have a paintbrush for each color.  Then she painted away, she had a blast!

Happy Birthday Sage!

It is amazing that you are three - the time sure flies by.  We are so lucky to be your parents - you make each day an adventure.  You keep us on our toes, we love your spirit, determination,  inquisitiveness, and how sassy you can be.  It still amazes me how much love we can have for such a little thing.  It is a privilege to be able to raise you and to watch you grow.  Happy Birthday! We love you, Mommy & Daddy

How much you have changed in just a few short years - we can't wait to see what this next year brings!

Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

It has been a busy few weeks - getting ready for Sage's birthday party kept me busy.  All the preparation was worth it, the party was on Saturday and it was a lot of fun!  It was a great afternoon with friends and family - thanks to all who helped us celebrate Sage.  The weather was beautiful and the kids got to play outside after having cake and cookies.  A big thank you to my Mom for helping to make the party a success - she made Sage a birthday shirt, a ton of Minnie Mouse decorations and her famous sugar cookies - thanks Mom!    When Reese and I were getting Sage ready for the party, she didn't really want to wear her shirt and tutu.  But when she finally put it on she got this big smile on her face - like she knew how cute she looked.  Then she couldn't wait to get downstairs and show everybody her outfit!  I can't believe my baby will be 3 tomorrow!  Crazy how time flies.

A quick family pic - she was anxious to get down and mingle with her guests.

She was pointing at the giant Minnie Mouse balloons!

Love this one - we don't get lots of Mommy & Sage pictures.

The candy buffet - always a big hit with the kids.

Aunt Shelley and the birthday girl.

The birthday banner my Mom made.

All the sweets set up for the party - truffles, cake pops, sugar cookies and the candy buffet.

Sage opening her gift from Aunt Shelley & Uncle Tyler.

She was so excited for this Minnie Mouse umbrella from Kelly and Jason.  She got to use it yesterday and she loves it!

Took her a few tries to blow out her candle.

Her hair got way to close to the candle.  I made the cake pops for her party and they were lots of fun to make.  The kids seemed to like them.  Not sure when I will be making cake pops again!

Brady, CJ, and Sage getting ready to go out and play.  Notice they are all looking in different directions!

Our happy girl - she had such a good day!

Halloween Party

On Wednesday this week we were at Bev's house for Baby Jam.  It was also Case's birthday - Happy Birthday, Case!  Bev had so much fun stuff for the kids to do:  Halloween crafts, Bean Bag toss into a pumpkin and decorating cupcakes.  It was a really fun morning and the kids all had a great time.  We dressed the kids in their Halloween costumes and got pictures of them all dressed up - can't believe they are all so big.  Thanks for such a fun day Bev!

Love all these kiddos!  Ty, Alice, Allison, Sage, Marshall, JJ, Andrew, and Case.

Sage playing the bean bag toss game - she had to go a little over the line.

Here is the birthday boy - he's got an arm on him.  Case got the bean bags through the pumpkin every time.

Sage decorating her cupcake, she was very particular about how she decorated it.

 They all loved their cupcakes.

Happy Halloween!

We had a very Happy Halloween!  Sage really got into the Trick-or-Treating this year.  She was so excited going house to house.  We just did our street and then went home.  I figured she would want to go to more houses, but since there was a party going on at our house she was fine going home.  We had some neighbors over and had some good food, lots of candy, and a bonfire to keep us warm.  Sage was up until 8:30 and was not happy she had to go to bed.  She had school the next morning and then came home and took almost a 3 hour nap.  Naps that long never happen in this house!  You know she was tired from all the Halloween fun.  I took all the Halloween decorations down yesterday and she told me she was sad that Halloween was over.

Just a little excited to go get some candy!

Checking out how much candy she had!
