Toilet Paper

The title says it all - Sage got into the Toilet Paper.  I was upstairs getting stuff packed for our trip to my parents and Reese & Sage were downstairs.  Reese was just a few seconds late on checking on Sage.  She had so much fun running around with the toilet paper - so of course the first thing I did was grab my camera.  I figured we could wait a few minutes to clean up so I could get some fun pics!   Here are the fun pics!

Visitors

Shelley, Tyler and the boys have been visiting the last few days.  They got here Thursday evening and left this morning.   It was great to see them and the kids had lots of fun playing together.  We are excited because we get to see them next weekend too!  Two weeks in a row!!  The kids were all watching a show together this morning - they were pretty into the trains on Chugginton.  Had to snap a few pics!   Thanks for visiting - we are excited to spend a week up north with you!

Happy Birthday Reese!

Today is Reese's 40th Birthday!   I hope you have a wonderful day!  We can't wait for you to get home tonight.  For Reese's birthday I decided to do 40 gifts for 40!  I had tons of fun shopping for his favorites and picking out some new things for him.  I know he enjoyed the gifts as well!  Some of the gifts were small, such as his favorite candy bar, others were big - a firepit for the backyard.  It made each morning of June very fun as he started getting presents on June 1st up until today.  We had a party for Reese over the weekend and had a great time.  I didn't take to many pictures and didn't even get any pictures of Russ, who came into town for the party.   Here are a few pictures from the party.

Busy Girl

Sage has been a very busy girl and we are always on the go, lots of toys to play with!  She has had a little bit of an attitude the last few days.  I am not sure if that is related to her eye teeth coming in or if we are just entering the Terrible Two's early!  We are really ready for her eye teeth to come in and I am sure she is too.  She has been gnawing on anything she can get her hands on.

Father's Day

We had a long weekend and I didn't have a chance to blog yesterday.  Here are a few belated Father's Day wishes!

Road ID

I was organizing my pictures on the computer this week and came across this photo.  I love it!   Sage is always so intrigued by Reese's dog tag.  It is from Road ID -  http://www.roadid.com  - it has information on it about Reese and his surgery.  When Reese changes Sage's diaper she gets excited because Reese takes off the dog tag and lets her wear it -she loves it!  

The Couch!

A few weeks ago Sage mastered climbing on the couch by herself.  She loves to climb up and then run along the couch - Mommy doesn't like the running part.  But we are slowly working on sitting on the couch and not running.  It is raining here today and we are stuck inside.  Sage was having fun this morning, climbing on the couch, getting down and climbing back up, we played with stickers, read books, played with her Little People Bus, and had a mini dance session!   Let's hope Sage has more rhythm and dancing skills than me!  Hopefully the rain stops this afternoon and we can get out of the house!

Best Garage Sale Deal!

Sage and I were enjoying our Friday morning when I got an e-mail from Bev about a BIG garage sale in her Mom's neighborhood.  Her Mom even took a few pictures and sent them to Bev who forwarded them on.  I saw a few toys in the picture I had been wanting to get Sage but didn't want to pay full price.  Sage was napping so I had to wait until she got up to go to the sale.  And one of the toys was still there I got it for $12 - it retails for $85!!!   I am soooo excited about the new toy and as you can see below Sage loves it!   I couldn't get it cleaned fast enough for her and she played with it for 30 minutes!   30 minutes on one toy is amazing for Sage!!!  I think we both are going to like her new toy:) 

Busy, Busy, Busy

BUSY - that is the one word that best describes Sage right now.  She is constantly moving and always into something new!   It has been so hot here and we have been staying inside during the hot afternoon hours.    We play in the basement and she rides her horse, then I chase her around the main floor and then we read books in her room.  Non-stop fun!  These pictures are from our busy yesterday morning.

Sage has been having alot of fun with her babydoll.  She loves to have us swaddle the baby and then she carries the baby around.  She also has been giving her baby kisses - it is to precious!  It has been awhile since we have swaddled Sage but Daddy hasn't lost his touch.  Sage is very excited as she waits for Reese to swaddle her babydoll!

The Zoo!

We love going to the Zoo and Sage is really into the animals this year.  We went last week with Bev, Case and Ty.  The kids had fun and we got to see the new Tiger exhibit - you get up close and personal with the Tigers.   Bev took some great pictures while we were at the zoo and she wrote a funny blog post to go with the pictures, you can go to her post here:  http://bevandwayne.blogspot.com/2011/06/future-wife.html

White Sunglasses

We had a wedding last night and Kelly and Jason watched Sage for us.  Thank you two for watching Sage - it seemed like they all had fun!  Before we left for the wedding, Sage and Kelly were getting ready to go outside and swing.  Sage had lots of fun swinging but when they came inside she wasn't to happy that Daddy and Mommy were gone.  They told us Sage was good and they had fun and so did Reese and I on our night out!

First Dentist Appointment

Sage had her first dentist appointment this morning.  She did really well!   The hygienist brushed her teeth and Sage wasn't to happy about having to lay still for that, only a few tears.  She was excited to pick out her toothbrush!   Then Dr. B came in and examined her teeth - again not to happy about having to lay still - few more tears.  But overall, it was a great visit.  The dentist told us that her teeth look great, and that the use of a pacifier is fine and hasn't done any harm to her teeth - yeah!   He did tell us that her teeth are pretty close together and that there may be some overcrowding issues as she gets older and gets her permanent teeth.  Only time will tell!  

Pool Party Playdate!

We had our playgroup today at Sarah G.'s - thanks for having us!   There were only three of us today and the kids, we had a great time.  We had lunch (Sarah made the most yummy corn salad - I am getting the recipe), played inside and then headed out to the kiddie pool.  The pool was a huge hit with all the kids.  They were enjoying getting cool as it was in the high 80's today.  Here are a few pictures from our afternoon!  I love my Wednesdays!
