Happy Birthday Finn!

Today is our nephew Finn's first birthday!  We can't believe he is already a year old.  We hope you all have a great day celebrating Finn's birthday!  Happy Birthday Finn!

Belated Six Month Post

I just realized I never posted a six month picture of Sage.  It is so fun to see the picture and realize how much she has changed in two short months.  Here is her six month picture! 

First Headband!

I put Sage in her first headband yesterday!   She looked so cute and she even kept it on all day.  We went to our Wednesday playgroup and had a great time.  I am so glad I found this playgroup.  Sage and I both have a ton of fun with the other babies and mommies.  Thanks Aunt Sandy for the cute onesie and thanks to Mimi for the adorable headband!  I couldn't decide which picture to post so I put up all three!

New Family Picture!

My Dad took family pictures while we were up north - thanks Dad!  I love the group shot, Sage and Brady are very interested in Nana!

Playing with Daddy!

Sage and Reese were having some fun playing after dinner.  It really is so much fun to watch them play together.  Sage waved today for the first time - it was so cute.  And when we were playing after dinner she was waving away at both Mommy & Daddy.  The cute outfit she has on came from Mimi and Pop-Pop - thank you!

10 Hour Drive

Shelley, Corvin, Brady. Sage, and I were lucky enough to be able to spend two weeks up north.  Reese and Tyler were there for one week and then went back to work.  The kids really enjoyed the extra week up there and so did Shelley and I.  It was nice to spend extra time with Nana and Papa!  We left last Thursday and took off in the morning.  It was a 10 hour drive and we arrived at Shelley's late Thursday evening.  It was a long day and the kids were all really good.  Here are a few pictures I took on the drive.  Let's just say I don't want to take another 10 hour drive for a very long time!

New teeth

Here is Sage putting her teeth to good use - biting her cousin!   Corvin doesn't seem to mind to much.   Corvin was so good with Sage while we were on vacation.  He was very helpful getting her toys and helping keep her entertained.

Day of Firsts!

We went to Mackinac Island while we were at my parents.  Reese and my Dad were fishing and the rest of us enjoyed the Island for the day.  It was a day of firsts for Sage:  first boat ride, first trip to Mackinac Island and her first ice cream.  Here are a few pictures from her day of firsts!  It was Brady's first trip to the Island as well and he seemed to enjoy it to!

First Bow!

I put a bow in Sage's hair for the first time yesterday and she looked so cute!  Reese is traveling so he wasn't here to see it so I got a bunch of pictures for him.  Here is my favorite picture!

4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July at my Grandpa's cottage in the U.P.  We had so much fun seeing family and being at the cottage.  We stayed one night at the cottage and really enjoyed it.  Here are a few pictures from our stay at the cottage. 

Fishing

Reese and my Dad went fishing with some family friends while we were up north.  They caught Steelhead and Salmon.  They had a great day on the water and we all benefited with a fabulous salmon dinner.  Here are a few pictures of the fisherman and their catch!

First Tooth

Sage got her first tooth on Monday, July 5th.  She was really good about cutting her first tooth.  She was in a pretty good mood until Sunday night.  We stayed at my Grandpa's cottage and Reese was in a room with Sage.  and I was in another room.  It was a pretty crowded cottage with thirteen of us staying there with only three bedrooms!  Sage got Reese up six times on Sunday night - it was a long night for both of them.  She woke up Monday morning with her first tooth.  Sage got her second tooth on Sunday, July 11th.   I have been trying to get a picture of her teeth but have not succeeded.  So here is one of our smiling girl from vacation. 

Fun with Nana!

My mom had a great time with all the kids.  She said the house was really quiet after we left.  They all love to be read to.  Here are Sage and Brady enjoying a great book.  Then a picture of Sage and Nana enjoying some quality time together. 

Chain Gang

We had such a good time up north with all the kids.   Sage and Brady had so much fun playing together.  They are so close in age and it is such a joy to watch them together.  Here they are working on the chain gang!  This is one of my favorite photos from our trip.  Enjoy!

Lowering the crib...

We lowered Sage's crib last night.  She has been getting up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth.  She is so getting ready to crawl!   Here she is in her crib after waking up from her afternoon nap today.  She was in such a good mood!

Up North

We arrived up north at my parents on Friday, July 2nd.  We had a great time!  Sage did really well on the drive up there.  It took nine hours to get there and Sage only napped in the car for an hour.  She was very good for only taking two short naps.  We got to Nana and Papa's and she was ready to go - sleep what is that!   She played for a little while and then went down pretty good that night.  Here are two pictures from our first morning in the U.P.  Sage playing with Papa and Reese and my Dad having fun with the pellet gun.  I even shot the pellet gun and hit the target the first time!

Eight Months!

Sage is eight months old today!   Amazing how quickly the months pass.  We are up at my parents and have been here for two weeks.  That is why I haven't been blogging.  Sage is constantly on the move and exploring everything around her.  As you can see Sage was very interested in her eight month sign.  I have lots of great picture and stories from our vacation and will have lots to blog about when we get home.  

Lunch Date

We had a fun lunch today, we picked Kelly up at work and went to a great Mexican place.  It was Sage's first time in a high chair in a restaurant.  She did great!   She was loving having Kelly there with us and so was I!  When Sage got fussy Kelly held her so I could finish my lunch.  Thanks Kelly!  Sage and I want to thank Crystal and her boys for the shopping cart/high chair cover - as you can see it works perfectly!
