Beautiful Wedding

We were at my cousin's wedding this weekend and we had a fabulous time.  Sage was the flower girl and she did so well.  I have lots more pictures to download but here is a picture of Sage and Miranda - she was a beautiful bride! 

Crown

We are up at my parents for a family wedding and we stopped at Burger King on the trip up.  Sage was so excited for her crown.  While we were eating she told us that she was a princess with her new crown, then a few minutes later she told us she was a queen instead of a princess.  Love her!  We only stopped twice on the way up.  Sage was a really good traveler and it was nice to have company on the drive and a driver!

The Letter "Z"

Sage and I worked on the letter Z this week.  My goal was to finish going through the alphabet before she started school and we did!  Her favorite activity was the zipper I bought for her to play with.  She has so much fun when we do our activities and I love to watch her learn.  Next up are numbers 1-10, she can count up to 15 but she doesn't recognize the numbers yet. 

First Day of School

Sage started school this week and she loved it!  She walked right into her classroom and I had to ask her to stop and give me a kiss.  Much better than last year drop-off at school.  She was really excited to go to school and didn't even want to get her picture taken.  Once she got her backpack on she was ready for pictures. 

 

New Shirt

We were hanging out at home the other day and just relaxing.  It was raining out - we so needed the rain.  Our grass is actually starting to look like grass and not dead, brown and crunchy!   Sage was wearing her new shirt from Aunt Sandy, Uncle Al, and Elizabeth.  Thanks for the shirt Sage - was so excited to wear it when she heard it was from you! 

Happy Birthday!

Today is my Dad's birthday!  We hope you have a great day Dad/Papa.  We'll be there soon to celebrate with you in person.  Happy Birthday!  See you in a few days. 

Xylophone

Sage and I have been plugging away at the alphabet - we did the letter "X" this week.   She continues to love these activities we do together  and so do I!  When I was getting ready for all our letter activities I found a bunch of stuff at Target.  I found her a xylophone and I finally got to give it to her this week.  It is now her new favorite toy! 

Books!

It was so nice to be able to relax and read some books while we were up north.   Sage wasn't that thrilled about it us reading.  Each time that my Mom or I would sit down and try to read she would grab our book.   She would then sit down and pretend to read it herself.  I love that she loves to read - even if it is my book!

More Fun at the Splash Pad!

We went to the splash pad again while we were at my parents.  It took a little while for Sage to run through the water.  But when she did she had lots of fun!  She kept wanting me to run through with her.  One of her favorite things at the splash pad is the start button.  She likes to control the water and be in charge - big surprise that she likes to be in charge!

Miss Sue

While we were at my parents we spent a lot of time on their screened in porch.  Sage loves to play on the porch and I love to sit out there after Sage is in bed and have a glass of wine and read a book.  I read four books while I was at my parents!   It was so nice to sit out there with my parents and relax.  My mom's friend Sue came out to visit while we were there and we sat out on the porch,  Sage loved Miss Sue!   It was all about Miss Sue that day, they read together, played together, and had a snack.  It was a fun morning with Miss Sue!

Tomato Picking

When we were up north Sage had lots of fun being outside.  It was so nice to be outside and to play.  At home it has been so hot we haven't spent much time outside.  My Mom has a ton of tomato plants growing in the garden and up the front walk.  Sage had so much fun picking tomatoes with Papa.  Here are a few pics!

Up North Again!

We have been at my parents all week and have been loving it!  Reese had to travel to Mexico for work and I decided to take Sage up to cooler weather.  It has been so nice up here - mid 70's!   We have spent lots of time outside and on the screened-in porch.  When we got up north and Sage first saw the Mackinac Bridge she told me she got to go for a boat ride.  That meant she wanted to go to Mackinac Island - so we did!  Here is a picture of Sage and I on the boat ride home.  We picked the departure time that took us out under the Mackinac Bridge - Sage loved it!  More blogs to come this week from our adventures from Up North!

Puzzles

I have found a couple new apps for Sage on my Kindle and iPhone.  Her favorite ones have been new puzzle apps.  She loves them!  She has been asking to play with the puzzles all week.  She loves to get up on the couch in the living room and play away!

Sleeping

Sage was playing on the couch the other day and she asked me to cover her up with a blanket.  She said she was trying to sleep.   Then as she tossed and turned she told me our couch wasn't comfortable enough to sleep on!  Love her imagination!

Happy Belated Birthday!

I haven't been blogging this week and I wanted to send out bleated birthday wishes to our nephew Finn!   He turned 3 on Tuesday and spent the day at an amusement park with his family.  We heard he had lots of fun playing all day!   We love you Finn and are so glad that you had a great day!
