Little People Playground

I was organizing Quinn's closet last week and I found this present from Christmas last year.  It is a Little People Playground - well Quinn loved it and so did Sage!  I brought the toy downstairs and they were both so excited to play with it.

First Snow

We got our first snow a few weeks ago and Sage was so excited!   She couldn't wait to get home from school so she could go out and play in it!  Lucky for her Lydia was just as excited to go out in the snow.  The girls had lots of fun!   We topped off the afternoon of play with some hot chocolate!

Birthday Celebrations - 5!

We had Sage's birthday party a few weeks before her birthday but I still wanted to make the day of her birthday special!   She woke up to a bunch of balloons for her birthday!  She and Quinn had so much fun playing with the balloons.  Then there were birthday candles on her breakfast as well as singing Happy Birthday.  She had school and they sang to her there as well!  After school we went to a cupcake store and she got to pick out a special cupcake!  Then when Daddy got home from work early she was able to open presents and have her cupcake!  A special day for a really special five year old!

Frozen Puzzle

This puzzle is one of the many Frozen activities Sage received for her birthday.  We have a big bag of all the Frozen stuff in our closet.  Sage has been picking out one activity to do a day.  She has been loving it!  I think these puzzles were her favorite so far! 

 

Notice she also has on her Frozen pajamas - she would wear them every night if she could.  She gets mad when they are in the laundry and she has to wear something else!

Almost

This girl is almost walking!  She is taking anywhere from 3 - 5 steps before she falls down and actually makes a dive for the floor!   She is so cute and having so much fun. I think she is really just trying to keep up with her big sister!

Cards & Muffins

Here is Sage decorating a card with a flag for Veterans Day.  We made two stops on Veterans Day delivering cards and muffins to two very special veterans.  Sage had so much fun preparing for it!  She loved making the cards and helping with the muffins.  I think this will have to become a tradition to help remember those who have served this great country!  She learned lots on our two visits and so did I! 

Outside

Reese was outside raking leaves and Sage was helping him. Quinn didn't think it was quite fair that she was left inside with Mommy. 

5 Year-Olds!

It is so fun to see these kids all together.  This picture was taken at the group birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese a few weeks ago.  We do a gift exchange and it was funny to see them all tearing into their presents.  Sage got a Frozen wand (Thank You Megan & Marshall) it is her new favorite.  Sage has spent these first 5 years with these kiddos.  At the beginning we saw each other every week for playgroup.  Then as time went by and the kids got busier it went to maybe every other week.  Now with all the kids in different schools and different schedules it is hit or miss when we get together.  But I know one thing without these kids and their Momma's these last 5 years wouldn't have been as much fun!  So very thankful for these little ones and their Momma's!

Tupperware lids!

This drawer is one of Quinn's favorite spots in our house.  She loves to get the lids and play with them.  This night I was making dinner and she was helping me!  Looking at me like - "what you didn't want these all on the floor!"

 

5 Years old!

Sage-
How are you 5 years old already???  Time flies by and we are amazed you are five.  You are such a fun and happy girl.  You are very inquisitive and ask us about everything.  You love to dance and sing - right now Let It Go from Frozen is your favorite song.  We have heard it about 2 Million times (not exaggerating).  You love to talk to people, people you know and total strangers.  You think that everyone is there to see you.  You tell people all about your party or what new toy you just got.  It is pretty cute and I will miss that innocence when it goes away.  You are so smart and keep us on our toys - look out teenage years, those are going to be fun!  Each day you come home from school you can't wait to tell us all about your day.  Your enthusiasm is one of my favorite things about you!  Sweet girl we hope you have an amazing day!  Happy Birthday!   Love, Mommy & Daddy

Fork

Quinn has been such a good eater.  She likes to eat on her own.  We have been giving her a spoon for awhile, she uses it mostly as a toy.  But lately she has been using a fork.  I still put the food on for her and then she usually takes it off and then puts the food in her mouth with her fingers.  I would say we are about 50/50 - she takes the food off the fork using her mouth and then the other half she takes it off and uses her fingers.

Elsa the Pumpkin

Well Daddy did it again this year - he carved Sage an amazing pumpkin.  Last year it was Sofia the First - this year it was Elsa.  Of course!

Quinn's Baptism

We had Quinn's Baptism the same weekend as Sage's birthday party.  It was a fun weekend of family, friends and celebrations!  Quinn did great during her baptism.  She was pretty quiet throughout the service and didn't seem to mind the water on her forehead.  The pastor walked her around the sanctuary after the baptism and she seemed ok with that!  She sat down with me and promptly fell asleep.  It was right during the time that she normally naps and she was out!

 

 

Facepainting!

The kids were able to get their face painted at Sage's birthday party.  The girls were all about it, but the boys had to be persuaded.  Case and Ty were the only two boys that got their faces painted and Andrew got a tattoo!

Elsa!

Elsa came to Sage's birthday party and put on a show!  The girls all loved it and so did a few of the boys.  She told a story and sang songs.  Then while they the kids were waiting to get their faces painted Elsa helped keep them entertained.  She had a special song she sang to Sage when we cut the cake and helped us sing Happy Birthday.  She even had a special goodbye song for Sage.  It was a really fun party and having Elsa there made it such a special day!
