Happy Easter

We had our Easter dinner yesterday since Nana left this morning to go to Shelley and Tyler's.  We had a nice family dinner by candlelight - Sage loved the candles.  We so enjoyed having Nana here but we missed Papa.  Happy Easter!

Lots of Puzzles

We have been doing lots of puzzles lately.  Sage has a princes wooden puzzle that she does almost daily!   Here she is working on the puzzle and she wants no help - all by herself!   It amazes me how quickly she puts these puzzles together.

 

Fun Easter Package

Aunt Terri and Uncle Nick sent Sage an Easter present and she was so excited to open the package.  She tore into it and was delighted to see that there was candy in it!  The dollar bill in there was what really got her excited as she yelled money and went running for her piggy bank!  Thanks Aunt Terri and Uncle Nick!

Laptop

I was going through my pictures on my iPad a few nights ago and found these from last weekend.  Last Sunday Reese had to do some work and he was sitting at the dining room table with his laptop.  As soon as Sage saw him sitting there working she went running into the family room. She headed straight to her toys and dug out her laptop.  She wanted to sit and work just like Daddy!  It was so cute I had to get a few pictures.  She didn't last long with her laptop - it was to loud.  So I set her up with the iPad and she played away.  I think she would have sat there with Daddy for hours!

Picnic time!

After we went to dinner on St Patrick's Day Kylie and Cole came over to play with Sage.  She was so excited to have them both over.  They had a big picnic on the floor and she had so much fun!

Art Zone

On our recent trip to the Library we discovered their Art Zone.  It is an area they have set up for the kids to go in and create all sorts of art projects.  They have things to make collages, paints, crayons, scissors, beads, string, paper and anything else you could think of, they have it.  Sage had so much fun trying to figure out a project and then gathering her supplies.  So much fun to watch!

Friends at the Library

We went to the library last week to play and Bev met us there with Case and Ty.  Sage was so excited to see the boys - and Bev too!  The kids played for awhile and then we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch.  What a good morning and lots of fun!

Super Sage at PT

Sage has been doing really well with her Physical Therapy for her toe walking.  She loves her Physical Therapist Anne!  There is an exercise they do with Sage having her arms out like Superman and Sage wanted to bring her cape in to show Anne.  She wore it most of her session.  Here is our Super Sage waiting for her appointment.

Princess Backpack

Sage has been loving anything Princess lately.  She recently told me she wants a princess birthday party and princess sheets for her bed.  I wanted to get her something for St. Patrick's Day so I thought why not a new princess backpack.  We are going on a few trips this year and I figured the new backpack will be her carry-on.  Knowing that Reese or I will be carrying her backpack.  She LOVES her new backpack and had to put it on immediately!

Children's Museum with Daddy!

Our day at the Children's Museum was so much fun!  It was a great family day.  Sage and I usually go during the week so Reese doesn't get to go with us.  So it was an extra special trip with Daddy along.   Sage wanted to visit the dinosaurs first - when we got close Reese had to pick her up.  She likes the dinosaurs but is still a little scared when it gets a little dark and you can hear some animal noises!

St. Patrick's Day

Sage woke up on St. Patrick's Day morning to a gold coin trail leading to our room - a sneaky little leprechaun left her those to start off the day!  Sage was really excited when she realized they were chocolate gold coins.  She kept asking why the leprechauns left them for her.   We went to the Children's Museum for a day of fun as a family.  Then we capped off the day with dinner with Brian, Kylie and Cole.  A great day!

 

Pirate Sage

Sage recently got a pirate eye patch and she would wear it all the time if she could.  When she has it on all you hear from her is:  Ahoy Mateys, Aaaarrrrgggghhhh, and Me Hearties.  She loves the fact that it is hot pink as well!

 

The vest Sage has on my Mom made for me when I was little.  There is a purple one as well - not sure which one was mine and which one was Shelley's but I love that my Mom kept them.  It was perfect for St. Patrick's Day!

Play-Doh

Saturday morning I went to the gym early and Reese stayed home with Sage.  When I got home they were playing with Play-Doh.  Reese took off for a walk and I got to play with Sage and the Play-Doh.  I realized not my favorite activity - but Sage loved it!!

I got out some Spring cookie cutters and she had a blast!

Calendar

Sage has been singing a song about the days of the week.  She usually misses a few days and gets them in her own order.  Since she was interested in the days of the week I thought it would be a good idea to do a calendar with her.  I got a calendar and had it laminated then added velcro to it.  So each day she puts the number up and we count through all the numbers and go over the days of the week.  She loves it - each morning she runs to it to put up the number for that day.   Notice her beautiful outfit, she has been playing dress-up almost everyday!

Periwinkle

When Sage transitioned into a big girl bed we used a gate at her door.  That way she stayed in her room and wasn't wandering the house at all hours!  We figured it was time to take the gate down and see how she did.  The first few nights she was out of her room tons.  She even came into our room at 2:00am one of the first nights and Reese pulled her into our bed thinking it was morning and time to watch a show!  It has only been a few weeks and she has done really well, we decided to reward her for doing so well.  She loves Tinkerbell and the Disney fairies so we picked out Periwinkle.  Periwinkle is a fairy and she can fly - very exciting in this house!   Sage loves her!

Super Sage Coloring

We stayed home all day yesterday to have a relaxing day at home - relaxing far from it.  We played dressup with every piece of dress-up clothing in the house, we ran around the house, we played with new toys, we even opened up an ice cream parlor!   My favorite part of the day was when Sage kept her Super Sage cape on to do activities/crafts.  She looked so cute coloring as Super Sage!

Picnic

Yesterday morning I was making breakfast and Sage was playing with her dollhouse.  She asked me to come and check on her dolls.  It was so cute she had arranged them on the floor and told me they were having a picnic!   I just love her imagination!!

Trip to the Park!

We walked up to the park after dinner on Sunday.  It reached 60 that day but it was really windy.  We all had so much fun at the park!  We ran around and chased each other and ran off some of those dinner calories!   Sage even got on the swings which was a big deal - she hadn't gotten on the swings since she fell off last summer.  Proud of her for trying the swings again:)

Ladybugs at the Library

Sage had library time on Friday morning.  It is a 4-week session and each Friday morning for 45 minutes they listen to stories, sing and dance!  For the last 15 minutes it is craft time and all the parents come in and help with the craft.  This week it was all about ladybugs and Spring.

Snow Day!

Wednesday we got about four inches of snow.  It was the wet, heavy, really good packing snow and oh so much fun to shovel!  Sage was so excited to go play outside.  So we got our snow clothes on and went outside I shoveled and she played.  She even got her shovel out to help me.  That afternoon we went out to play again with Lydia and Rebecca.  Love having good friends right down the street!  The girls had fun playing in the snow together.

Teddy Bear Update

 When Sage was a baby she got a big teddy bear from Mimi and Pop-Pop.  We would prop her up against the bear and show how big she had gotten.  Tuesday night we were playing down in the basement and Sage was all about the bear.  I had to snap a few shots to compare against the earlier shots with the bear.
