100 Days

Sage and her class celebrated the 100th day of school last week.  Their teacher dressed up and decorated the classroom. Each of the kids made a 100 Day cape to wear.  Sage picked out four things to decorate her cape with:  googly eyes, buttons, jewels, and puff balls.  I was at school the morning of the 100th day volunteering so I got a few pictures.  Sage was more than a little bummed that some of her stuff had fallen off her cape.  But she still managed to have a fun day!

Felt boards

It is so nice being organized with all of our craft stuff for the girls.  When I was going through stuff I found these felt boards.  They both love them!  We have a beach board and an underwater board.

Celebration

We got back last night from a weekend up north celebrating my Grandpa's life.  98 years is a long life and it was an amazing one.  We will miss him, but know he is where he should be.  We will always love him. These pictures were taken when Grandpa met Quinn for the first time.  He asked to hold her and he was loving it - so was I!

Box of Chocolates!

I made this game a few years ago for Sage.  It is like a box of chocolates but with numbers.  The numbers attach with velcro.  Quinn matches the numbers up, but now we are working on know what each number is. Today is my parents anniversary - Happy Anniversary!  We love you!

Valentine's Day Presents

The girls ate their Valentine breakfast and then opened their presents before we went to church.  Quinn and Sage both loved their new pillows.  After we were done with the presents Quinn put her pillow down and pretended to go to sleep.  That night we put a small travel pillow in her crib and she loves it!  Growing way to quickly!

Quinn ready to open her present!

A new Valentine pillow for Quinn!

And a new pillow for Sage!

  Chocolates - yummy!

 More Chocolate!

 Loving their new pillows!

Daddy got Quinn a puzzle and gave Sage a necklace.

More Love!

These girls of ours are so well loved by us and their grandparents!  Mimi and Pop-Pop sent them Valentine's gifts.  And as you can see below they loved opening them!  Thank you Mimi and Pop-Pop!

Quinn was so excited for her new gloves she instantly tried them on.

Quinn got a bunch of pairs of sunglasses and they had to be tried on immediately.  Good thing she was nice enough to share with her sister.  They are ready for some sunshine!

The girls both love to get mail!  They were very excited when Nana and Papa send them Valentine's Day cards.  Even more excited when those cards had money in them!  Thanks Nana & Papa!

Friday at School

Sage had a busy day at school on Friday.  They celebrated Valentine's Day with a party in her classroom and they also had a big fundraiser for the American Heart Association - Jump Rope for Heart.  I volunteered in her classroom that morning and then Quinn and I came back to volunteer for the Jump Rope event.
Here is Sage in action at my station at the Jump Rope for Heart.  Quinn was really good that morning at school.  She played with toys, talked to the kids and played on the iPad.

When Sage got home she had to show me all the valentine's she got at school.  She was so excited about the box she decorated and all of her loot!   She came home with way to much.

Beads

I reorganized our craft and learning supplies the other day to have them more accessible.  While I did that Quinn played with these beads.  She was loving them!   I tried to show her how to separate them by color but she wouldn't let me.  I turned around after a little while and she had them all separated by color all by herself!  Now if she could just tell me what each color is - we are working on that!

Valentine's Craft

I have been trying to be more crafty with Quinn.  Trying to help her learn her colors and shapes.  We did a fun Valentine's Day craft last week.  I drew some hearts for her, she used her dot markers to color them in and then we put glue around the edge and she put marshmallows around the edge.  She loved it!

After School Snack

Sage was so excited to have hot chocolate as her after school snack on Friday.  It was a gift from Miranda's baby shower.  They gave us hot chocolate mix, marshmallows and a spoon dipped in chocolate and sprinkles!  Sage was loving it!

Timbits

Friday morning Quinn and I brought Sage and Freddie to school.  It was a rough start to the day as Sage came in our room at 7:25am.  We are usually dressed and downstairs eating breakfast by 7:15am! Yikes!  It was a crazy start but we made it to school and volunteering on time.  We brought Freddie to his classroom then headed to Sage's.  Sage put her stuff away and got started on her morning work and I started on mine!   Quinn sat in her stroller and played with some toys and the iPad.  She loves to see all the kids too!  We were there for almost two hours on Friday - Mrs. LeRoy had lots of copies she needed done for Valentine's Day this week.  When we left I decided since Quinn was so good we would go get her a treat.  And who doesn't love a yummy donut!

Looking to see what is in there!

So excited for a special treat!

 YUM

All ready to go home with our leftovers to share with Sage.
Love this picture of her!

Conversation

This girls still loves phones of any kind.  Cellphones toys and real ones, the phone she is playing with in the pictures below and a new favorite a phone she has found in Sage's classroom at school.  On this particular morning she was having a conversation with Pa-Pop.  Not sure which one she was talking to Papa or Pop-Pop, as she now has combined those into one name.  It sounded like a good conversation!

Movie & Popcorn

Two nights ago we had an early dinner and the girls were still hungry so we made some popcorn.  They settled down with their popcorn and it turned into a movie night!

Eventful morning...

This little one is such a cutie and looks so innocent - do you think she would lock her mother out of the house - the answer is YES!   That is just what she did last Monday morning.  I had brought Sage out to the garage to wait for our neighbor Julie to pick her up.  Quinn was at the breakfast table playing with chapstick - it is a new favorite of hers!  I went to go back in the house and the door was locked.  I was able to stop Julie and she went and dropped the kids off to the bus and came back to help us.  Luckily I had on a jacket, shoes and had gloves in my pockets because it was a cold morning.  I tried to get Quinn to unlock the door to no avail.  We called the non-emergency sheriff dispatch and waited for a deputy.  We sent Quinn to the front door so we could see her through the windows on either side.  She was fine just wondered why we were outside and she was inside!  The deputy arrived and he only had a tool to break a window.  I didn't really want to break a window or call a locksmith.  The deputy then asked if Quinn could get the stick out of the track for the sliding glass door - and yes she can!  Julie and I ran around the house and we called Quinn to come over.  After a few minutes of telling her to get the stick she finally did!   We then had her unlock the door and we were in!  Needless to say I went and had spare keys made that same morning.  One was hung in the garage and one was also given to Julie as well.  A very eventful morning!
