HOT

We were out for a walk a few weeks ago and Sage kept complaining that she wanted to go home and it was way to hot!  She saw this rock and had to sit down and take a break.  It was a very short walk with all the complaining!

After the walk it was home for a snack!

Cleaning

A few weeks ago while I was in the middle of cleaning the first floor - Sage asked if she could help!  Why yes she could, and Quinn too!  I gave them both cloths to dust with and Sage did a really good job.  She kept showing Quinn what to do.  I think that I will have two helpers now whenever I clean!

Sprinkler Fun

Reese got out the sprinkler for the girls to run through a few weeks ago and Sage was loving it!   Quinn not so much.  I think Quinn went through it once and that was enough.  It took Sage a few years to like running through the sprinkler, it might just be the same with Quinn!

Pulling

Both girls have had a bad cough for a few weeks and we spent lots of time at home.  On this particular morning Quinn was having so much fun trying to pull Sage around the kitchen.  She is one strong little girl!

Walking with my girls!

The girls and I have been going for lots of morning walks.  Sage used to ride her bike on these walks but lately has just been walking with me.  She looked so big to me with her sweatshirt tied around her waist on this particular morning that I had to get a quick picture.  She was so excited on this walk because we saw two Sand Hill Cranes.  We had to stand for a little while to watch them and she didn't want to leave.

Toy Storage

Who needs to put toys into storage buckets when you can just climb in yourself?  Quinn loves to dump out all the furniture for the dollhouse and sit in the storage bucket.

Spare seat

We have an extra car seat for Quinn.  It is nice to have an extra one if we need it for Reese's car.  It was packed up with all the stuff in the garage from the move.  Reese was working on getting the garage organized last weekend and we found her spare car seat.  We brought it in the house to put in the basement storage area.  Well Quinn had other ideas.  She played in her seat for almost a half hour.  She was loving it!

The Rock!

This giant rock sits in our side yard and Sage loves to try and climb it.  This was the farthest she has gotten on her own and she wanted me to take a picture.

House

This house has been a big hit in our house for years.  I bought it at a garage sale and it has been well used.  First Sage used it and then we sent it to Shelley's house for Lucas to use.  It survived the tornado and they returned it to us for Quinn to use.  She still loves to play in it.

Loves that swing!

Quinn is still loving the swing on our playset.  Each time she hears me say the word outside she is running for the laundry room to put on her shoes.  If I am not fast enough sometimes she brings me my shoes to put on too!

Sage & Cam

These two cuties were having fun outside and I told them I wanted to take a picture.  This is what I got!

Rainforest Cafe

Sage likes to have times when she has just one of us with her.  She calls them her Mommy & Sage Days or her Daddy & Sage Days.  To be honest I like it too!  Nice to have one on one time with her and with Quinn.  This picture is from one of those days.  She and Reese went to the mall.  Reese needed some new shoes!  Sage was more than happy to go shopping.  After shopping they went to the Rainforest Cafe.  We had been at that mall earlier in the week and when we walked by Rainforest Cafe it was much to scary to even go in, let alone eat there.  But I guess when you have Daddy with you it is OK!  She LOVED it!   She kept telling me little details about the restaurant all day.  Love this girl and her sweet smile!  I am going to miss her all day when she starts school this Fall.

Happy Girl at Dinner!

Reese had to go to the airport and pick up some parts for work.  He took Sage along and they had dinner on the way home.  A little Daddy/Daughter time!  When I dropped Sage off to him at his office it was the middle of rush hour.  So instead of getting back on the freeway in rush hour I took Quinn to the mall for shopping and dinner!  I had a few things to return anyways!  We had pizza for dinner and Quinn was pretty excited about that as you can see below.

Hard Decision

The girls and I went to the aquarium again and they both still loved it.  On our first visit Sage asked if she could get something from the gift shop.  I told her she would have to wait until our next visit.  Well she sure did remember that and reminded me of that on our way to the aquarium.  After we got done looking at all the animals.  Sage was so excited to choose something in the gift shop.  She was struggling between a mermaid and a seahorse.  Finally the seahorse won out!  She first named her Diamond but has since had a name change and she is now named Penelope.

Bikes & Mail

We have a really nice trail by our house we can bike, hike or walk on.  We also have a sidewalk that we can walk to town on.  A few weeks ago it was a beautiful day and I had a letter to mail so we walked and biked to the post office.

Later that day we walked down the street to get the mail.   Love that they were holding hands.

Quinn & sunglasses

Most of the summer Quinn has refused to wear sunglasses.  But recently she has been loving wearing them.  Here she is wearing a pair of Sage's.  She looks so cute!

My little loves

They look so big to me in this picture.  Just two sisters walking in their backyard.  Love these two!

Beach Fun

We had some fun with Daddy at the beach when he came up for the weekend.

20th Reunion

How has it been 20 years?  It sure doesn't feel like 20 years has passed since high school but it has!  We went up for my 20th Reunion and really enjoyed the weekend.  It was a very busy weekend but fun.  I got to see some people I hadn't seen since graduation!  We had a cocktail party on Friday night followed by a trip to the local casino.  Saturday night there was a Music Festival in town so we all gathered at that.  We had 23 out of 55 graduates in attendance.  Good times catching up with good friends.
Nikki & I

All 23 of us!

Mandy & I - She and Nichole organized the reunion.

Nichole, Me, Stephanie, and Becky

Two favorites:  Dave and Russ

Anchors

I got the girls dressed at different times one morning and didn't even realize they had similar outfits.  Love these two in their matching anchor outfits!

Aother Beach Day

Both girls really enjoyed being at the beach.  They played really well together scooping sand and trying to build a sandcastle.  Well Sage was trying to build and Quinn was knocking it over!

Loved Quinn's expression in this one - I had to include it!

Poker chips

Quinn was loving these poker chips while at my parents.  My mom keeps them in a little zippered pouch.  So between the pouch and the chips they kept Quinn busy for a long time!

Concert at the Marina

We went into town one night for a concert at the marina.  It wasn't keeping our attention so we went for a walk down the boardwalk and went on the beach.
Quinn wasn't loving that she had to stay in her seat for the concert.

Skipping stones at the marina.

Beach Day 1

We spent lots of time at the beach while we were at my parents.  Nana would take Sage while Quinn was napping and then when Quinn got up we would join them.
Sage found a frog to check out.

 Quinn loving the sand.

Comfy on the porch!

The screened in porch was one of the first things that Quinn wanted to check out each morningat my parents.  Temperature didn't matter to her - if it was high 50's or into the low 70's - she was on the porch.
Here she is all comfy under a blanket enjoying the porch!

Island Trip

We went to the Island while we were at my parents.  It was Quinn's first trip over and she loved the boat ride.  It was a quick trip over for lunch and shopping.  Soon the girls will both be old enough to ride bikes around the Island and go for a carriage tour but we are quite there yet!

Our attempt at a group shot - Quinn just wanted to get up
and look at the water!
